It's only never too much if you can follow everything and all the layers are clear... if they make just a garbled mess, then sure it's psychedelic, but not too intelligent...

Yes u r right, clean layers and/or fast switching between sounds

Else u get this 'i feel kind of uncomfortable'-feeling until u realise its the sound thats messed up

thats what i meant!....always in da underground....

only artist I am missing a set of in my league of fantastics...!! (along with furious)....
missing babajelly set in shanti jatra too...fuk!!!

still listening to the cd tho....a total blast...!!

boom jelly!!

and the jellyheadz/orestis tunes .... wow!!

Though i agree with you....i have to say that the Mubali set in Boom covered all the areas you are talking about...clean sound, massive bassline, hypnotik but with a sense of construction(build up)...i was really impressed and inspired. I guess is record will be very worthy to check and buy

also in fullmoon he played a very serious live....he is more oriented towards the parvati sound tho....(top notch nonetheless)!!!= forest music!!
mubali you rocks!!

layers: i love OSOM and psykosky (doesnt get any more multilayered) production....
but what jelly achieve is a more hypnotic sound.....and no artist followed this direction i think...its a different tripping...where very deep levels are reached...with osom on the contrary is a spaceship direct to pluto after a rollercoster thru blackholes...!!
i think their last cd having the same bassline exmplifies this....!??as soon as i hear their sound im in the trance tunnel...

so both sub sub sub sub^100 genres are good with production.....but which one you prefer when dancing/tripping/trancing/sitting down smocking one...??
deep vs multilayered (not glitchy)?

ps any jelly/manyfaces/dejan new releases??

Hard to say....i like when both elements are present: Layers without loosing focus that can transport you deep inside!!!! Still the emotion you get from "deep" music is what psy-trance is all about..IMO!!!

The many faces Vs fractal cowboys album on manic dragon records has to be the most under rated work of psychedelia in this kinda music

Wat the album shows u as music is being done now by others.
