So I've done a bit of research and checked out some artists. These are the producers that I'm thinking of so far. For DJs, I like Tsuyoshi and Ryo and maybe the famous DJ So (haven't seen him play yet).

*LIVE*
(Taiko Drumming Group)
K.U.R.O
PHI
UNI
Sine6
Theoreme
Uscus

*DJ*
Tsuyoshi
Ryo
Kemix (wouldn't miss this for the world)
Batta

What do you guys think of this line-up for an Australian / (NZ??) tour? No comments about whether the tour should go ahead or not, just the line-up please.

Are you serious? I would LOVE this sort of lineup in Australia... I'm not a fan of Tsuyoshi but some people are. I haven't heard some of them, but I will check out KURO as mentioned in this thread.

In my opinion though, from what I've heard of them, you would be silly not to bring out Batta for the night and Dj So for the daytime I'm a fan of Phi as well, so I'd like to hear them at night too.

Bring it on!

And if you can support it, a live Taiko drumming group would be fantastic...

Hey Sunrunner,
Not sure if Tsuyoshi will join or if we can afford him.
KURO is a killer live act, relentless wave aftyer wave of psychedelic melodies, more old Goa style with an aggressive beat.

UNI is also interesting to check out, one drummer and one guy on computer - powerful stuff.

Actually they're all good, that's y they r on the line-up.

Looks like the Taiko Group will be 80% chance of going ahead but I think only for the Festival, not Byron Bay, Sydney or other shows. I couldn't think of a better way to open a festival myself. I guess in Japan it must happen all the time.           The music was like new black polished chrome
that came over the sky like liquid night.

I'm assuming the festival will be around Melbourne then... I'm willing to make the journey for this

I had a listen to some KURO samples but it doesn't sound very goa-like to me... can you recommend some good tracks?

There's always TaikOz, the Australian Taiko group, if you can't afford to get one out from Japan! It would be amazing to see before a night of trance (it's amazing to see and hear ANY time!).

Keep us posted
