I need to buy headphones for producing, because i have two yamaha hs5 but sometimes the sound in my room is not the best and sometimes i cant put the volume more louder because im living in a flat. So i need your help to choose a good pair of headphones for producing.

At this time i have ath m30, and i thinking about buying the ath m50. Does anyone have a better suggestion? My limit to pay is between 150 and 250€. But i prefer 150

there are no good headphones just for psytrance. if the cans are good for 1 genre, they are good for all genres.
I use cheap sennheiser hd202 for mixing and mastering.           Free album out now:

I spoke in psytrance, because there could be other less desirable. I want some headphones to use at full-time

I use Audio-Technica ATH50 but was very impressed with the above mentioned. Less colour and really nice overall definition. Maybe changing teams...

In time...the Audio-Technica ATH50 are a really fine set of cans. They have their own sound signature (for me a tad dark and bassy) i was just impressed with the AKG...they sound less flattering

i think it s personal.. these seems to be more or less in the same league in the same price range..but all have different strenght and weakness.

if you can try before buy..if not i think you can t rreally go wrong with propular choice in that price like akg, ath , beyer ... and then adapt to mix with what you have

using Beyer-dynamic DT 770 PRO, 250 ohms cost $230.

Closed, diffuse-field systems "Bass reflex" technology for improved bass response.

Clinically high and mid-range reproduction

Hope it helps

yeah they are pretty good the Bayerdynamic DT770 PRO. I have them in 80 Ohm for more loudness if needed.

Yeah, in terms of comfort and balance, even though this may sound like an odd opinion to some, I really like the KRK's above anything else I've tried so far, including the usual suspects.

I like seenheiser's sound, but they make my ears burn after a while and they're a bit over powerful for long hour sessions to, in my modest opinion cans with tons of power only make sense for live usage, not so much studio work. But don't claim to be an expert here, far from it.

Also have a pair of AKG's, good stuff, nice on the ears and I really dig the balance of them!

cheers
