There is no such thing as the supernatural. The supernatural is natural. It is the distinction between magic and nonmagic that is the error.

magic is when you find beauty in something ugly...when you stay in the middle line of the two opposite sides...when you turn negative to positive...when only positive feelings exist...when everything begins with love and finnaly ends with love again...when you find god inside your inner self...when you bring ballance in all diff stages...when harmony makes everything perfect...
when.....all merged in one cosmic unity and enjoy bliss....

i simply agree with you all, of course, there are many ways to explain magik, since it's e v e r y w h e r e around.. it;s all the above plus much much more.. this forum is a place where almost everybody beleives in magik, if not everybody, whereas on the streets you see all those people not aware ..
but.,,
the simplest is to Say 'i beleive' and the hardest is to actualy use and follow the signs.. !-
Otherwise, we even, that we say we beleive, we wudnt make any mistakes or have any misunderstandings, we wud know how to distinguise the right from wrong, the lies from truth.. cause it's all there, right in front of our eyes..! ^^
but no, i think there's something that we miss..
It's not all about reading and knowing how to describe and talk about things you want to beleive, it's also and most of all, to follow what you beleive.. to actually use it ..
it's bad to see people not beleive, others beleive and use it wrong-or bad- and others claim that they beleive, but somehow they dont ..
You see... it's difficult to follow The Magik Path..........
it's not something easy ya know>.
i already have experienced this misuse, from myself and from others.. i heard some talking about beleifs and dont use them, pretending they do?.. and myself, i still try to listen to the little voises in me, before it's too late and my inner self goes 'i told you'...>
for me..
MAgiK is MY RELiGION, MAGIK is my OnlY Beleif <!>

of course is how we live that makes magiK path hard to follow... they make us people live in fear and worries, and when man thinks under the shadow of fear and worry, he causes his fears and worry to be manifest.. and this is when he loses the path of MªGÌC..

Dance Magic
Magic can be defined as the alteration of events in physical reality through the focussing of mental and emotional energy. This energy is focussed through the use of particular symbol systems which can include ritual, icons, sound and dance. All of these elements are present, to varying degrees, at Trance parties ; however one of the most important components of magic, intention, has up to now been largely an unconscious affair among party goers, due to the neglect of the magical arts in our western society.

One role of the trance dancer is to re-introduce intention into the magical trance equation. In this case the dancer becomes an 'energy director', one who consciously moves and directs energy to other people. The dancer becomes a modern shaman, one who travels the realms of the inner planes, those spiritual dimensions where archetypal symbols such as the world tree, as well as spirit beings, are to be found.

Through movement, the dancer expresses his/her travels in this inner realm to those outside; this is dance performance, the earliest form of theatre, where the shaman both entertains and informs his audience, bringing in the end healing and catharsis to the community.

Magik : for sure magik is connected to psychedelik trance : i have actually felt the effect and can say for sure that many ppl use it: especially in raves : ppl telepathically talking to each other : and those dancin shamans as wicc@ puts it yes: then u got Magik mushrooms : so maybe the drugs do help induce these un natural things like telepathy : but the involvement of the wiccan power in our world is for real: no doubt

The negative polarized being can still use fear/hate to strengthen his/her magic. You couldnt have white magic without black magic as well. Its quite scary to think that people do and can summon up demons which can shred your aura so badly you can suffer great illness in your physical and astral body. These demons are not physical but my friend has seen pictures of them like you can get pictures of ghosts. He said it was probably the most scary thing he has ever seen.

I don’t think any discussion of magic is complete without touching on ritual.
Ritual is deeply connected with magic. When people think of magic, they often think of special rituals that are required to make things happen.

My take on the matter is that this is that ritual is an externalization of internal processes, manipulating symbols that are associated with thought-entities, in hopes that the manipulation of the symbols can result in corresponding changes within the ritual participant. So my view of how ritual works (I think it can) is that it helps one mobilize psychological resources toward the goal of the ritual. I strongly suspect that using rituals and symbols can “reach deeper” into my consciousness than simply willing a change through verbal thought. I think that the symbols that are used are arbitrary if one knows what they are doing… I don’t think much of spending lots of money on ritual items, I think a lot of the stuff associated with ritual was created by the kinds of unscrupulous businessmen that tend to creep into spiritual systems.

In my opinion the way to go about it is to study as many cultures beliefs as possible and filter it all through a critical mind, and try to figure out what the psychological underpinnings of a well-done ritual are. I think it is the thought processes that count; chants, ritual art, music, verse are all very useful and enriching, but they are props and teaching tools, not things endowed with mystical vibatory powers (I dont think). Still acting as if they do can be useful because it adds to the feeling of "reality" that can be necessary to make the ritual have its desired effect on the mind.

Thats what I'm thinkin' tonight.

wicca u sound like a reincarnation of terrence mckenna but i agree with u...

i like to do magic in my real life and not in a dreamstate or in a trip.. if you have enough of ur energy in present time without ur mind distracting u by trivial thoughts and issues triggered from past experiences and trauma and negativity, then you can focus ur things of just intend them and life changes around u in that manner..

PsyCosmo i agree with u completely: ritual to me is just a method or external event that was designed to help people beliecve that their intention would work by doing something external.. the true effect it has is to reinforce your belief that something will change and come out of the ritual.. so whats more improtant is the level of ur belief rather than the ritual itself sometimes being unable to hold such a strong belief we design rituals to help us.. coincidents are sometimes unconscious magic..

I have not thought about unconsious magic before. Does this mean we can pracice magic in our sleep? Or does this mean that when performing magic our subconscious also has intentions which the practicioner is not aware of?

Magic Dance

You remind me of the babe
What babe? The babe with the power
What power? Power of voodoo
Who do? You do
Do what? Remind me of the babe

I saw my baby, crying hard as babe could cry
What could I do?
My baby's love had gone
And left my baby blue
Nobody knew:

CHORUS

What kind of magic spell to use?
Slime and snails
Or puppy dogs' tails
Thunder or lightning
Then baby said
Dance magic, dance (dance magic, dance)
