In my opinion, nothing else in the $1000 (us) price range sounds as good in the mids & highs on the A7's. I used to have the behringer truth, and have played around on my friend rokit 8's. For the money, both are a pretty good value.

If you can, I suggest you spend more for quality equipment, rather than trying to get more for your dollar.           Keep The Faith,

Another reason why I prefer Behringer is that together with my woofer I have bass management, meaning I can control up to what frequency height I rout the low end into the woofer or into the truth...           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

i`m sorry upavas but your living a lie.....
the berhinger truth are so inaccruate they do not diserve to be called monitors....
i don`t know why you like them so much.
i owned a pair whren i was a "newbe" and even then i didnt like them when i compared them to other manufacturares. maybe you enjoy listening to them but the mixes do not translate well anywhere else.
back to the matter at hand , between these 3 choices i`d go with the adam .           if u dig deep enough u just might reach the sky...

The Behringer truth are crap, the KRK's (atleast the smaller ones) arent very good either.

I recently bought the new Mackies MR8's which are quite low budget as well, and am fairly happy with what I'm hearing so far. Try those if the Adam's are out of your price range.

Maybe you just didn't know how to attune them rightly to the place you were in. They may not be Genelecs but are nevertheless accurate enough. And by no means less accurate than the adams.

From your post I can tell that you probably never even took time to set them up properly. It's one thing to connect speakers to your daw, it is another to level them out rightly within your given space.

not to show off or somehting. but i`m a sound engineer ... i know how to tune them properly. i worked with them @ 3 different places one of them was a recording studio. they never sound good... just loud and inaccurate.
by checking out how mixes translated on other systems (p.a , car , etc.) i learned to work "around them" but thats not a very good way to work isnt it?
of course you adjust your mix with every monitor but on the berhingers its alot more obvious. you just find yourself working harder.
altough its entirely a different league the minute i swithced to the dyna`s i felt like someone had "removed a dirty window from my line of site"
i worked for a while with an A/B setup with both the berhingers and dyna`s . the conclusion was bright as the sun after the rain ! the truth are just a big lie .
p.s i also worked with alesis M1 5" and they were better than the truth`s. or at least more accurate.

its simple... you go around the studio and circle the monitors....

seriously , you just learn where they are inaccurate add the room accoustics factor and there you have it. its like working with any other monitor only with these the amount of inaccuracy is high so you just do more adjustments in order to make your mixes sound good on the "outside"

So, you have done more adjustments and they work ok now, what is all the fuzz about then? Too lazy to do a little soundchecking?           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

of course, but where do you think they are most inaccurate? to little mids?

its not about lazyness.... and these are not small changes. that my point ! why work harder ? you git to have a pair of monitors you can trust. not a one that makes you work harder...
i`m sorry but i think the truth`s are just a big waste of money. you can get alot better results in the same price range. the only good thing i have to say about berhinger is it`s cheap.
and well... we all know quality doenst come cheap... does it?

and about the inaccuracy issue well its lows mids and highs all together . but mostly the mid section.           if u dig deep enough u just might reach the sky...

i actualy enjoyd my truth speakers..but just if i inserted the arc system wich took the distortion out of the seakers..then they where very accurate..but even when you get used to them and set things up proper they work..

you will just have to do a ot of comparisons with other systems to trust them..now i got the a7 and they sound obviously much better..didn`t got the time yet to really dig into them but i enjoy the first steps really..
