i think adding yet another label to this "respected" topic:

label name is: "clubland records Germany" (ohh my what a surprise)
run by :Stefan Gruenwald
what is more surprising is they are also form hamburg.
man hamburg is getting a lot of bad publicity by those labels. i bet there are a lot of angrier people walking there searching for labels head managers

maybe explain what problem you have would kinda help^^           -------......-------...-..-..-..-.-.-.-.-

Thanks for this thread, I was just contacted by Thomas, but I knew to stay away thanks to this one.

In any case, I'm more interested in releasing stuff for free and keeping the rights! Now if only I was more productive hehe...           www.soundcloud.com/vonoom | www.vonoom.bandcamp.com | www.facebook.com/vonoom | www.flikflakfamily.com

I've just had a wierd "What If"-thought..it might sound a little paranoid, but:

If all the statements like "you can't earn anything by being an artist","it's hard to survive being a creative psy-trance producer","there is no income because of music-piracy,bla-bla" - is just a rumors (supported by some facts ofcourse), spreaded by a few cheaters and thiefs who stands behind some major companies and recordlabels...

And this rumors are shaping and influencing the culture...for example it makes all the newcomers wanting to be released only on Big and well-known labels(because otherwise "they'd never make it"), or it makes some people simply give up...

in the end you dont get anything back except some good friends and fellas, who love rocking basslines and wierd organised sounds)))

Its hard to describe what the thought was exactly, but it reminds me of Illuminati-conspiracy theory...

You can, but it is very difficult these days and people like Thomas Vitali don't make it any easier. On the contrary, they make it harder, hence this thread, so artists avoid such vampires and guess what, this thread is working...           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

I think I speak for most of the old school psy people when I say we didn't start on this road for the money, there never was any and there most likely never will be any in music sales. If you want to sell records make something commercial. Psy is for the love and if you are good you can make some pocket money to pay for gear form live sets, thats about it.

It's the entire scene. It's always had & will run on he bans is that income for the musicians is last on any promoters or labels list of things to pay.

It's fucking ridiculous because if this scene had worked properly from the start there's no reason why it couldn't have been like the extreme metal scene. Sure it's not a millionaire scene but many extreme metal acts make enough to not have to work full time.

This scene for artists has just gotten more & more pathetic over time.

Except for the few neo-goa labels I've heard of I'm surprised this scene actually still exists beyond prog.

I know that whilst this music is my true love I do enjoy other types of electronic music, and it's those that I work more on because they'll sell n get proper gigs.           Cuntus Maximus.

I agree as well, I do have a sidekick selling some tracks commercially to TV and stuff, but it hardly pays my bills, and they usually get very afraid when they hear psy           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

Hehe... should've read this thread last year... Looks like Arahat and myself fell for the same thing. I totally thought that Planet B.E.N. was run by Ben... but the business end was handled through Thomas. I was just starting to wonder when sales receipts would come in, but now I know not to wonder about that as they won't be arriving anytime.
What I find to be funny, is the fact that at least in my mind, I thought that it was a strange coup to release our music on that label. Almost like we were changing some minds or something...
But, oh well. This just makes me all the more glad to deal with good labels like Parvati, and not to bother with most others.
Above all else, I would want my work to be treated with respect. Not used as a tool to flood the market just to make a few cents for someone else. I know about the difficulties making a living doing this, I've been there... At the end of the day, I would just like to know that the people who release my work actually believe in it, and give a shit about the people who do this day in and out not for money, or fame, but because it's what is in their soul.           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
