Hi to all! I'm not really active here but that post was intriguing so i had to write this..
I had the usual problem with Tom Shitali
He released my 1st EP without me listening to the masters or choosing a cover! After I sent many emails (without reply) regarding that I had to listen before the release and also decide for the cover, I found my EP released with different name and cover and terribly low quality mastering (my grandma can do it better - FOR SURE!) So when I sent that what he did was unprofessional he replied me accusing me that I don't know how business it's done etc.. So another 5-6 months go by, I had to ask about my fee and guess what! NO REPLY! I sent about 1-2 email per 2-3 months and no reply again.. so after a year or so I thought that he replies only when you get offensive!  so I did a mail like: you don't know who i am and i will find you if you dont give me my share and where the *beep* are the "Quarterly Statements" stated in your contract etc..
so he replied within 1 hour!! of course, in the same manner and even worse, threatening back about deleting my youtube and facebook using really bad words about me and my music and after he sent me a FAKE statement (screenshot of a small part from an excel document - not the original beatport statement) so i decided to let him be.. i wouldnt release anything else under his labels.. but still i know lots of artists that have problems with him.. and also know that he owes big amounts of money to some really famous friends (tracks in top 1, 2 or 3 on beatport charts etc)
now the crazy part of my story is this..
on 31/12/12 he sent me the following mail:
Hallo,
hope to find you well.
We wanted to make final accountings now to the Tracks you made/released with us but we never got back the signed contracts.
This is why the system reports us that there is no contract behind the release.
Please send me the sheets signed so we can make the statement accounting to you from our system.
Thank you and have a nice NYE !

Now that officially means that he screwed himself
maybe he lost a hard disk or something (cause i remember i gave him this contract)
So probably other old contracts he had might be missing too.. OMFG that's so funny! how can he do such a mistake?
I guess hard disks fail to shit-people who own shit-contracts as well as artists who lose their tracks..
Still I haven't gone into any trouble having beatport to remove my EP.. I'm bored and also I know that I'm not going to work ever again with him plus that that EP has little to do with my recent psy or prog releases, so no one is really interested in the old rigel stuff therefore not plenty of money for Mr Shitali and if there is anyone interested he can have it for free here:

for everyone who might be interested! I had also some dispute with him yesterday.
I wont spread the story here (yet) because I am still looking for solution!
anyway I give you all this info!
according to the register of the city where he used to live, he is STILL living at the old know address!
I won't write it here! It's pretty easy to find since it was printed on all CDs which came out on his labels!
Of coz it can be that he moved but in Germany you have to pay a fine if you don't info the city register about that and depending on your yearly income the fine can be up to 25000€.

if any musician involved here is registered with gema (or similar) it would be sufficient to give them a call and ask for their statistics on the tracks released via tomas labels. if he (quite likely) has not registered these tracks with them, gema itself will take legal action...

I wonder if this would only apply to GEMA registered artists or if any pro affiliated artist affiliated for instance with BMI, ASCAP or even SOCAN would suffice in doing so, my tracks that Thomas has are actually correctly registered with SOCAN and give 50% to me and 50% to Shitali as stated in the contract... I reckon you might be right there... Then there is such s thing as mechanical right wich counts for each CD pressed... Hmmmmmmm...

If this happened in the rap scene, this guy would already have a serious law suit on his hands at best, or he would be dead, at worst. The latter being the most likely scenario. I'm not advocating violence, but just pointing out that we're a really easy group of people to push around.
remember that perception of us next time anyone wants to release your music.

I'm very upset to see growing number of labels releasing compilations like "generic progressive trance vol. 74" Is it possible that sales of this kind of releases are higher then normal albums?

Taking the reach and power of someone like Thomas Vitali away, by exposing his bad actions to the scene is a very good way of doing away with such people. I had no idea this post would generate so much publicity and I am happy to say that many artists have written to me and thanked me for exposing such a Goafascist!
I doubt very much that Shitali is having the same momentum he had prior to this post. and for what he did, I am glad that such a leech is now exposed to the scene and has much of his power taken away.
Goa fascists need to be exposed by everyone, simply because they are the main cause why this scene is so depleted. They need to go!
Yes, it takes a lot of courage and conviction, but in the end I feel it was worth it, not because it makes me feel like I had my revenge, but simply because the scene got rid of a shark!
