Ah man, wish i was still dobeeing that stuff.

btw still haven't watched it, better go fast before it comes off the theaters.

what do you suggest 3d or 2d? some say 3d is a headache

why watch 2d and wonder on what you missed out. Go for the whole package watch it once and watch it in 3d.           "Whoever said the best things in life are free... obviously grew their own bud"

No offense, but don't fall for that tale.
It's just some bugs and small effects.

Not worth the headache you got after it.
And 2D is not blurry as 3D.

kinda agreeing with johndoe on this.. the 3d in this movie is not the issue.. about a year ago iv seen that branden fraser movie: journey to the center of the earth and the 3d fx on that movie rocked way much better than avatar.. piranas jumping out to bite your head and fulltilt experience..

in avatar, well, it kinda makes the visual better, like soft acid drops, but it aint blowing your head away.. too much hype bout that.

btw, someone gotta do something about those glasses..

I don't know what kind of 3D glasses you guys had when you saw the movie, but I saw it the other day and those glasses were really annoying!

1st, they have a very small "glass" surface, which makes the field of view small, which made me move my head to see things (normally I'd move my eyes alone)

2nd, the plastic was hurting my ears due to bad ergonomics

3rd, they were dirty as hell and I had to clean them.

I think, that 3D glasses should look like Ski Glasses

We got something like that:

I think the 3D SURFACE should look like that:

I've seen the movie with these:

and had no problem...So I guess you had a case of "uncomfortable glasses".

Finally watched Avatar 3D yesterday. Weak, predictable story and one-dimensional characters (as expected), but visually it was such an amazing experience. I thought the 3D gave the effects a really good boost.           DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

Didn't think there was much cheese (if any) in "Aliens".

The movie "Alien" is directed by Ridley Scott, and yes, no cheese.

The sequel "Aliens" is directed by James Cameron, and yes, full of cheese

I just don't like his movies, that's all, and I don't crave so much for uber-fancy visuals.           Anakoluth A Pebble in Your Eardrum's Shoe since 2001!

WHAT!? Cheese in "Aliens"?!

A sure spot in my alltime top5 of best movies: lots of badass marines getting their asses kicked, no corny lovestory and NO CHEESE           DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

I really enjoyed it. I thought the typical Gi Joe boy thrown into the mix was pretty predictable. I wasnt really expecting much from the story department, I just wanted to be blown away with visuals. and i was completly. def roll up a HUGe one.
I hope they do another!!

cameron , yup , invested too much money in the sfx here to throw away after just 1 and he says he always had a 3 part story arc for this right from the start .. hope the next ones are a bit more grittier and darker than the first , they can definitely work more on the characters , this one , for all its super effects was a pretty dumb movie .
