^hehe , im inclined to agree there .. just back from a 3d show , and well .. time and money well spent , good movie , if a bit too cheesy at times when it wasn't being absurdly idiotic , too much hippie crap even if its a good message ... and the 3d effects are very minimal , agree with john about wanting to give this another go in regular mode , wont rate it , but one of those movies that are better fun watching fully baked , so do roll a fatty before u do...all in all good fun , go watch :)

just got back from a 3D show.. if you're gonna watch this movie watch the 3D version, its worth it!
The movie itself is nice, an overall 'experience' so to say.. i thought that the second half was rather fast, like they just wanted to wrap and finish the movie. the ending dint make much sense.. though i know its more like a fantasy based plot. good graphics, some very surreal visualisation.. given the choice fuck the doobie, and pop some acid and watch the 3d version - it will be one hell of a 3 hour trip.. believe me!
dont miss this, its awesome movie. 7.8/10

saw it yesterday and all i can say is i want to party in that jungle anyhow..
with all the big mushrooms and every natural colored things...
i'm sure we would not need even a single backdrop or any kind of thread work if we get to party 
sometimes the story got little boring but the backgrounds kept me busy...
truly heavy fx

actually , come to think of it , it was a bloody good experience ... but maybe i was expecting it to be like one of those amusement park style 3d rides , effects were minimal but good , the forest , the floating mountains ,all killer , going again sometime in the week for sure , 1 complaint still though , that it was a bit kiddy , weak characters , weak story , could have done just a little bit more with the 300 million ,but good stuff still

Still a recommendation to watch. Simply because the graphics rock and it is quite different from everything else. |

Avatar is A Visual LSD. The best psychedelic Experience if you not including music and/or drugs.
The scrip is not so good - reminds me Pocahontas and the last samurai. Cheesy monologs. But still it has nice Ideas like the animals and the natural USB connection. Cameron created a beautiful world. It's not a movie for the soul. Its a movie for the eye.
Bottom line: I don't care that the scrip is bad - I was a trip!
