Hi people this is an article i sent to a newspaper in Malta but was never published and i just wanted to share it with you all!!

The Psychedelic Scene Today…
The psychedelic scene today is made up of three most important points, which are: -
1. Music
2. People
3. Nature
1. Music – The music in the psychedelic scene is the most important factor of all. All the people are there because they believe that in the music is God. It is a type of meditation dancing to the grooves and natural sounds of psychedelic music. The music makes the people become one big togetherness with the nature, they become one with happiness and one with God. It is very difficult to describe what it means to be part of something so powerful as this, but the feeling is mainly total freedom from society and from this world. Inside the music is the energy that makes us happy and in there nothing matters there is no past and there is no future there is only the moment. For that moment it feels like the sixties today!
2. People – The people attending these parties are mainly made up of people who travel or people who look for something different in life something more than just that what society teaches us. The people in this scene have realised many things in life and are now ready to make this a better world. They are not only conscious of the beautiful nature around them, they are also conscious about the fact that they are souls travelling in this world to learn and experience the path that there soul chooses. They are spiritual people but still they have there own style to live in the crazy world of today. They attend these parties in a full power mode that means that they will exchange all the energy they have with each other making this event something out of this world. They are not there just because it’s a party they are there because it’s a celebration of God, it’s a celebration of togetherness – a celebration of music and happiness!
3. Nature – The psychedelic parties are generally made in forests or beaches or mountains, anywhere with beautiful nature will do. This is because for us God is nature and were else can we make a celebration of God! Were else can we be at our utmost happiness! The nature not only gives us energy and fills us up with the pleasures of life but the nature reminds us how perfect and creative God is. It is the source of life for all humanity and without it we would die of despair and sadness. The nature is an indispensable part of the psychedelic scene!
The psychedelic scene takes place in most of the countries I travelled to, and by searching the Internet I found out that it is active almost all over the world. In some places people travel to attend a big festival especially if there are big live acts of music there. Big Festivals may take up to 7 days of camping and music, the good thing about this is that you would be living 7 days in heaven. You would be living seven days of meeting nice people, chatting, dancing and most of all meditating in the music. I have already given up everything I had to travel and be part of this scene, and I do not regret it at all. I am part of something which I love and it not only makes me a better person but it helped me a lot in many difficult situations in life. Whenever I have problems or I need energy I turn on my music and it’s as if I switched on a communication with God! We fully believe in this and I can say that once you do experience this great pleasure of life you will never look back to your past, you will never look forward to your future but you will just live the true moments of what you are now, you will live and do what your soul wants to do! You will follow your true self and the divine truth of the God within!
Society today teaches us what we have to do, what we have to be, but tell me how can society know what you were born to be what you really want to do? What you in reality are? It cannot because it is made up of humans like you and me and it has no authority whatsoever to tell you what you to do. Unfortunately not everyone is strong enough to overcome society, most people do what they are told to do like puppets they follow other peoples dreams and when they grow up then they realise that maybe they could have done much more. For us this is not a problem we follow not what other people tell us but what our hearths will say, and it is there that you realise what a long way you have to become a loving helping perfect image of God. Today most people concentrate on making money and buying all the material that they need to make them happy, but it is never enough they will keep on buying and buying and working and working there whole life because they do not realise the truth. We are here on this planet not to work on making money or to buy things that will make us happy, the true happiness is found in God and God is found within us. This is our true purpose of life, we are here to follow our dreams to follow what God wants us to be!
I will finish this small article by thanking first of all the divine himself for showing me this way of life and for realising all of my dreams. Then I would like to welcome any of you who look for something different in life, any of you who think that what I am talking about makes sense. Welcome to the psychedelic scene, welcome to life!

Thanks man in a way it is a reminder to people who know what this scene is about and a new thread to the new ones...I hope it serves a good cause for people to realise that there is something else in this music!

Well call me a weirdo but I go to parties to have fun. I do not belive that the music is god. I don't believe in god(s). I do not become one with with anything. And about the nature, look at any festival site after the party has ended. Doesn't look to me like many people came one with the nature, unless of course becoming one means contributing shit loads of trash.

The nature part is covered above already. Anyways I'm not consciuos about "the fact" (you should read a dictionary to see what a fact means) that I'm a soul travelling in this world to learn and experience the path that my soul chooses. I'm am conscious that I'm a human being trying to (and succeeding) in having fun. I do learn things and die to experience stuff but it has absolute nothing to do with any kind of soul business. Souls are about as real to me as Santa Claus.

Is that one of those "read between the lines" thingies? Exchanging energy in order to make the event something out of this world. Sounds pretty dodgy to me.

Most parties here are indoors.  For me god isn't nature, for me god is non existant, a fairy tale. I think people throw outdoor parties because
a) The revenue is way cheaper.
b) You get to see the sunset and sunrise.
c) You can only fit certain amout of people in indoor places.
d) Nature is beautiful.
Nature reminds us how perfect and creative God is. It is the source of life for all humanity and without it we would die of despair and sadness. The nature is an indispensable part of the psychedelic scene!
Nature reminds me of how cool evolution is. Yes without nature we would die, not because of despair and sadness though, more like hunger and famine. Nature is nice yes but the psychedelic scene does also exist without it.

Seems like it's more of a religion to you. DON'T PUSH YOUR RELIGION TO OTHERS! Don't think of yourself as a better person because you happen to like psytrance. Seems like a very elitistic approach to me.

So that's your meaning of life? Mine's rather different. I'm actually trying to find out what it's exactly. By doing that I think I already did it (am doing it), but that's just me.
Sorry for the critics but we seem to have very different views on things. I think of psytrance as music, you seem to make hell lot of more of it. You shouldn't generalize so much though for I think there are quite a few others who don't think like you.
I enjoyed reading it anyways.

Hey man, i the way i think is not the way you think for sure but the world is full of different people and this is how i think and live, some people are like me who beleive and some people are like you who don't beleive we're both still happy! Thanks for da critics!

Oh man music is special to me and so is literature. But I like many kinds of books, not only say fantasy ones. Just like I like many kinds of music, not only psytrance. And that's why I don't lift one genre on top of others as sort of higher form of art or what ever..

Totally agree.. Psytrance is not special and godlike as many want it to be.. neither it's alien technology in the form of music  . Just another form of art

you´re right.
the psychedelic culture is more than just another electronic music.
traveller, i don´t like religion either, but what ganjagil is speaking about isn´t religion at all, it´s something totally different from religion, allmost the opposite:
mysticism.
no church, no hierarchy, no heteronomy.
the divine is inside and this is something a non-religious person can agree to easily, isn´t it?
you can also call it "digging deep inside your psyche to get to know other realms of consciousness and thus learn more about youself".
and this is something they don´t do in other scenes - immagine a hip hop jam with people losing themselves to ego-nullification...
hahaha, that´d be great for all those egoed-out pseudo gangsters to find out that what they are heading for is just an illusion |

I do not want it to be of some kind of godlike experience i experience this and i know this that for me i reach higher levels of consiousness through this music! I am just expressing my experience of it...

Care to explain this? What's more to it? And I wasn't talking about only electronic music. I was talking about all kinds of music.
Religion, mysticism, you can call it what ever you want to but I still think it isn't there. Not until there's a scientific theory to it. Science requires lots of fate aswell, true, but still, it's different kind of fate.
And no. I don't agree to anything divine insine. In the end inside of things are quarks which might be constructed of different kind of strings, which I sort of happen to believe in even though then I also believe in 11 dimensions and some other totally far out things.
