well i have to say something about this.

i'm 25, and i'm working as a software-engineer. i was 12 years in school and 7 years in university. i've learned a shitload about computers and stuff, yet the biggest lesson in life i learned from some stinking old hippie and this lesson was: always be yourself, respect others and try to see the other side of the story. and it works !

so even if hippies smell and dont necessarily reflect the views and opinions of the society, they do know a lot about life and can teach you a thing or two (when they're sober, that is)

well i rather learn some life ethics from something like zen budhism or Tao, than from some lsd burnout (with all respect for acid)           www.soundcloud.com/elektroakustica/sets/downtempo/

I smile and try to spread love. It seems so often we encounter another human and say nothing, do nothing, dont even look at them. Its so easy to just say, "Hello! I see you are a human as well! Isnt it great to be humans?" Of course not quite like that, but a simple "Hi!" can make someones day. Are we machines, going so diligently about our business that we cant even acknowledge others even existing? The worst casualty of the modern world is community. We are so afraid of each other (IDK about elsewhere but here in the US everyone is scared stupid) that we never stop and say, "Wow its great to be people, together!"

Consider how many people you have passed on the street, in clubs, parties whereever. How many of them do you think you affected, how many lives have you influenced? We will never know! It could be millions.

I wouldnt call myself a hippie. I know how to use a computer, in fact its my job, I own a car, and a drivers license, I have a home. I eat flesh. Not to say that hippies are all like this, but Ive met plenty that qualify for one or more of the above!

Oh and sometimes, I do stink. We're disgusting creatures, us humans. We make at least 6 kinds of odd fluids, which dribble and flow from us randomly, and with out warning. Its amazing (from the POV of companies selling makeup, deodorant, shampoo) that humans evolved at all!

If you cant get laid without making yourself smell like a strange potion (theres some strange shit in cologne and deodorant) how the hell did cavemen do it?

being the best person you can be i believe is a nice way to live your life.........every day learning..........every day growing..........every day absorbing........every day emitting...........

taking the time in your day to do something nice or teach someone something and having the patience to deal with imperfections that we encounter in every day life.......

sometimes a smile........a smile can do so many things........

isnt that what we live for? to smile..........striving to be happy............

anyway......hippies come in all shapes, short haired, long haired, smelly and cologne wearers , computer freaks and nature freaks.........

spread the good vibes and promote happiness and smiles......

bring back the love........
