arab countries isn't the same than islamic countries?

hey
been in the middle-east for over 18 years of my life and totally was unaware of a lot about this culture...
yes i mite agree the entry of this culture into the middle-east 5 years ago would have been unthinkable but over the past 2 years i was seeing a very positive shift towards the psy culture...but then as usual people get tempted to push it a wee bit further and go for the "D*U*S" and then things get a lil outta hand.
will give u a recent example..was in the middle east around 6 months ago and tool down a whole lot of psy along with me and distributed it to those psy starved friends of mine and was a lovely experience when we all would listen to a particular album and my friends there would be amazed at the music coz it is hardly available over there(yea downloadable but....not considering that) and we would have a small gathering in a farm or stuff like tht with plain psy music and one of us would play (not a proffesional gig) jes for fun ....and used to be a whole lot of fun and i was really happy that the psy music was picking up a whole lot over there....thats then..left the country after that and got back to india...to continue my studies and well here comes the pain....
the guys who were having fun with the music wanted to try it with a different state of mind...this is when things got ugly....parties were flowing and each party "D****" were increasing...i have no clue how they got access to it and stuff like tht...and then stuff got worse...around a few weeks ago a party got busted and the eventualities after that were too horrible to be true....well thats the problem.....people should surely strt using their heads n not go overboard and love this culture for the damm MUSIC!!!!!!!!!! n not for anythin else...
well moreover its a myth that there is no freedom out there...(yes this is not sauidi arabia) but otherwise also in the rest of the countries around there freedom sure exists. but...
There is hardly anyone there to keep a check and to teach the people stayin there the right things..as in its all the talk about how good this dru* is and how good that dru* is and how trippy this shit is and all...and in the end its very tempting for those poor blokes to try and get involved into the evil side of this culture  this is y i guess it is really hard for psy to grow in the middle east....
but quite a lot of my friends are still safe and sound..luckly they werent the root cause of the evil..but they sure r repenting..
i will be heading there soon again and this time will be there for a long vacation....sure will sow the seeds of psy as much as i can and destroy out all the roots and weeds of the ugly side and will make a major effort to make it stick to the basics....---> THE MUSIC!!!!
hope it kicks off well.....will hopefully one day post a link for a flyer of a partry out there....

The NYE Desert.camp in Zagora (Morocco) will be a really good festival I think. It was quite small but very nice last year.
Right now there aren't many local artists and acts here.
It take some time to develop a scene, but with more and more parties things could change quite quickly !
Next party gonna be near Marrakech the 4th of december jbilettesprod@yahoo.fr and there will be a big international festival end of next summer www.spheres2005.com . We are working on it !
@traveller : Arab countries isn't the same than islamic countries?
Not really... Biggest islamic country by the population is Indonesia... Second must be Bangladesh or India... And Turkish, Pakistanese or Iranian people are not Arabs... |

Shaqattack, which country/ies are you reffering to in your experiences? cause the middle east is a region last i checked...

yea surrender....very true middle-east is a reagion..i purposely dint mention the country as i dint wanna bring out the happenings in that country out in the open completly...all i can say is it is around 400 km away from dubai!

Iran,Turkey,Pakistan,Bangaladesh,Indonesia are not arab countries. these are muslim countries. arab countries are the islamic countries in the middke east (except turkey) and some countries in Africa like: Mauritania, Djibuti, Sumalia, these countries conciders arab but it is obvious that the people from there are no originally arabs.
And what about psytrance from africa? does this think excist? |

some wonderful parties are located in west marrocco there were 2 event last year in decembre/january.
some friends from tunisia told me that there were a few events near Sousse, but that's realy small events! |

i played in about 20 small psyparty in morocco these 3 last years ...
and in 3 internatinal festival ...
the most full power was: morocco2001 organize for newyears eve2001: looots of chaos but for me the most amazing location of my live !
Tris is right: this summer from 25 till 29 august2005 will be another internatinal festival on the beachside of morocco ! keep in touch !!!
the better privat parties are around Casablanca where there are a good small psy-trance tribe!
the better location for full moon are around Essaouira (bit more in the south, close to the Jimmy Hendrix's house ;o)
definitivly: psytrance is the music to put everybody together in PEACE !!! ;o)

hahha where will you get electricity and light out there?
cool idea and the sahara is am amazing erea! but it will be pretty hard to throw out a party outhere. |
