analog delays are pretty dark, kinda filtered

but thats the whole charm and why theyre not really meant to be used as a delay effect. more of a smoothing in the track that gives a sense of depth and mood.

or if you go old school and feedback the output and go for dubs

yeah was kinda suprised at first i was like wtf.. thinking i will return it.. as i was trying it on hp resonant lead.. but then it sold me for when darker delay are needed ,dub delays ,some lp resonant leads ect.. the insert point on the feedback loop is really awesome.. i can use the flange of the flux on the repeats, a filter,distortion...

serioulsy the moogers are expensive but in a modular set up it must be sick.. too bad i can t use these with the xs i would need attenuators..and the Xs is not modular enough to really take advantage

what i wonder mate is the sound really change with time, maybe our analog gears will sound amazing in 15 years..

cause i was reading about someone saying the new ms20 sounded like his ms20 when he got it new.. but now his sound way more dusty ,less clean..

totally possible with the fact of componants aging at diffennt speeds

not as much as youd think. i mean your not really trying to get an oscillator to track across a few octaves, youd just find the sweetspots really

im sure youd be able to make a cable that would have a static attenuation rate

not a big problem

might give it a try but yeah the xs is a bit too limited to really take advantage of the cv on the foogers and make complex patchs.. i would need at least multiple to get things more intresting.
with es3 it would be sweet, really need to get this thing.

i enjoy using this one:

it's really great for dub style but it sounds lovely with less feedback too. the chorus is roland's so that's a nice bonus. and with the tone you can cut/boost lows of selected effect. robust built quality. it's got 2 inputs (voc/instr) that you can use at the same time! oh, and the roland dc-30 is the exact same machine just with different colors and a roland logo

don't have any vintage analog/spring reverbs.
"just" a couple of multi-fx. the more noteworthy one is the lexicon mpx1.
both multi-fx sound a bit out-dated to my ears but i've been thinking of giving them another try as it's idiocy to sell them (for a couple of euros). and i a couple of years they'll be retro too!
i've got some pedals too from mxr, ehx, boss and koma and i've enjoyed using them with my synths or bass...

i was wondering if the amp stage is the same on all moogerfoogers but it s not , i didn t a/b side by side but what i noticed is the mf104 amp stage is not as dark as the mf 108 ,the frequency reponse is more flat .
should try to compare when pushed if it break the same .

some spend way more to run their synth in preamp that dont even sound as nice as the moog amp stage, in a way these are bargains lol well at least for me cause it s a sound i love !

suit and tie guy did the classic moog mixer ffrom the model c or d not sure which, but apparently totaly nailed the accidental gain stagging,,, also did the sub octave divider from the sh101 as well.....a round of applause for STG i think
should have spent another 30 quid and bought it instead of the manhatten mix, but then it is the cleanest mixer ive come across

guys after playing more with the mf104 i can say it trully rox...i really like it for madness feeedback stuff with time modulation a la posford ,dub delay... this really shine when pushed in the extreme for the weird twisted psych stuff but for gentle use the delay is also fantastic (kinda dark tought but it s actually great to not mess the mix on many occasion..but cause of this it can't be the only delay to rule them all ) ,i think i m gonna need the cp 251 later to get more out of the foogers.
