You're dragging this whole thing into territories where it doesn't belong. For sure all those things are facts of life. Now I don't know about your country, but here in my country we sometimes see shit like that on television. I'm not saying it's zooming in on a splattered brain, but compared to a few years ago we're seeing more and more. As the media gets more and more into sensation (because that is what sells, whether you like it or not) we will continue to sink away in this stuff even more.
But besides that, Acidance made a choice. They choose to make a compilation that is trying to get a point across. The pictures are aids to prove their point. The fact that people do NOT like these pictures is exactly what Acidance is trying to achieve here. Isn't the point to show what times we live in? I think they did a good job.

i try to answear ur question, but itz really difficult, because IMO these are
2 totally different things.
let me explain my thoughts (maybe im wrong...):
the pics in the aciddance release could be interpreted as a "anti-war" concept.
i think u agree that it was not their intention to show "cool" pics.
anyhow, they show the result of an action -> war.
the pic itself is not the crime, the crime is the action -> killing people!
so, showing a child-porn pic is not showing the result, itz showing the action!
the child-porn pic is the crime itself!
hope u got my point.

@June: First of all i have not seen the pictures but based upon your description I don't see anything wrong with the pictures you described. They seem quite powerful but thats just how it is. Those things happen everyday and all around us. Ok, eg. the people's brains scaterred all over. You probably only see as far as the scattered brains and thats how much you see in the picture. Fair enough.
some people look at the picture and feel sorry for the poor guy who lost his brains, some people think of the guy who blew his brains, some people can think of WHY is this person's brains all over the place.
Can you see....Different people interpret things differently.
About the child porn and rape etc, can it just be that Aciddance in this particular compilation are trying to give out A particular message. about war or murder or whatever that haunts our society these days. Thats probably whats important to them at this point in time. Maybe tomorrow some artist will want to express his/her thoughts about rape and child porn etc...But its their point of view.
There's so much shit happening all around us and not everything is Peaceful, Happy Happy and love love etc etc....To get there to that beautiful place someone has to address these atrocious issues in the first place. Please see beyond the pictures and try and get into the artists head. Comon, you are one, you should know better.
