the problem here, is that we are a trance community that listen to trance right?...
if we were into Crust,Power Violence,Hardcore,Gore or even Metal i would go for it, you know?.... duh i m waiting for it i havent even gotten it yet so man i'd wait to open it.

Well i dont know why they did this do it?
If they are to put something like this and they are allowed and everbody says its alright, but its not alright for me to question why they do it?
All this dosent make sence. It really dosent.. And i honest couldten care less if its offending what i said or not.. What about the things they are you say?
That its fine with seriously extreme death pictures... yeah thats find..
So ill put on my album cover when it releases, a parent beating up and innocent baby!!
Cos thats just my art expression.

Gnome pretty much said it all. You might not agree with it, but it serves it's own little twisted purpuse (I don't like it eighter, but I understand it). It's evolution within our little scene, just as what happend within rock music a long time ago.

If you read what i wrote earlier.. I am saying it can be shown, WITH A LIMIT.
Marilyn Manson is not quite right either.. i do like some of his stuff, but i dont like him that much. I surtenly dont like to look at him.
I bought the compilation.. And the tracks on the cd, is very good!
But the book inside puts me off.
And i am not gonna support anybody who makes me feel so sick.
It dosent have a point to send that little paper book out with the cd.. no purchess what so ever.
Yes evolution this and that.. Why does it have to be negative evolution!
You going down the wrong path mate!
Even the news on TV would show this!

Ever hear the expression "different strokes for different folks"? Acidance wanted to do a concept album denouncing the atrocities commited where we live in. Although it isn't my cup of tea I understand their point of view and respect it.
Now if you don't like the pictures, then don't look at them. If you can't understand the idea being pushed by this compilation, then forget about it and focus on the music.
I personally like marilyn manson. I'm not a 15 year old goth kid so I don't go crazy over it but I like the power in his music, the quality of his production, and the person behind the makeup. He's a very intelligent person who figured out the business long ago so please refrain from saying that "he's not quite right".
I agree that this type of graphic violence isn't suitable for children, but neither is trance IMO, so there is no problem.
What you are suggesting is to ban Acidance or boycott them? Lady, that is CENSORSHIP and I would kindly ask you to stop imposing your system of beliefs on what I SHOULD ENJOY.

imho the real poor taste here is opening a thread called "YOU FUCKING FREAKS" because of a cover of an album that wasnt to someone's taste.
I would think twice before doing such a thing regardless of what i have to say inside the thread itself.
Regarding the topic i really dont see a problem with what Acidance did.
In the history of album covers it is not the 1st time such a thing occurs(RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE's 1st album cover comes to mind,google it if u dont know).
I did not see the actual acidance pics but it doesnt seem like such a problem to me.
Having said that ,no harm in a small "MATURE VISUALS INSIDE" little warning on the side. |

That's precisaly what I was dealing with in my previous post.. In the purely "artistic" domain, the RATM cover is waaaay more powerful than the Acidance one.. The framing, the greyscale treatment and so on are worked with accurary.. And therefore it is more efficiant, and "questioning". The Acidance cover cannot bear the comparison on that point, in my opinion.

I would think it's a little difficult to not look at these pictures mate - whats the first thing you do when you get a cd? Well, i usually open it up and take a look at what the artwork is like and to see what messages are inside - what a stupid suggestion 'don't look at them'....get real pal.
And i dont see anywhere in her posts that she suggests to ban or boycott acidance - you just trying to stir up some trouble there or summat you fool! It is a comment on the artwork...not the label.
This is meant to be PSYCHEDELIC trance - remember? the music that makes you smile, bounce around and have a good time...anyone remember what it is? And no....i ain't into all that PLUR stuff - just haveing a good time is enough for me.
