well after watching this flyer I must say that I was amused and then a bit angry... being a woman in a most dominant man scene is very hard and obviously attrackts many attention from all the scene... when you watch MTV these days and I rarly do its all about the appearance, many untalented but big boobs and nice curves gals go around shaking their asses to the camera even big diva's like whitney huston, Maria Carry, and especially the younger generation that seems to think that the way you look is more important that your music... well as that approach might be popular in the mainstream media it shouldnt be like that in the trance scene... people talk here about the vibe and the spirit well I tend to agree... trance music and scene is a subculture which is a direct continuation of the hippie movement and as they got commerialized we can see the beggining in our scene 2... here in Israel the commercialism of trance has reached its highest and most advanced level and therefore the use of gimmicks.
music is meant to be heard and just like I dont go to see the picture of the cheff lying on a carpet half naked of the restaraunt which Im planning to go to EAT in then the picture of the MUSIC artist shouldnt be a factor. the problem such actions causes is simply the approach and the kind of attention women artist will get in the trance scene... seeing women as sex objects and not focusing on their music which already happens today... every topic with a female artist is some how concerened about the way they look and again because this is a dominant male scene than obviously such advertising will draw attention... if you want people to take you siriously then you dont need to use ur body... especially when it comes to music... and Im not falling to the whole feminists who claim that we should use our bodies to our purposes in any case... try using your brain for a change.
so yes maybe Im an optimistic and naive fool but I would very much like to think that our scene is not and will not be influenced by the mainstream media and culture just like this scene differs from it in other aspects.

About the flyer with Yo~Yo waiting on the ground is just a "cheap" marketing trick to create new kind of psytrance party concept and later each individual decides what to do.

I've been wanting to add my little 2 bits but was trying to refrain from jumping on the band wagon......but i can't help it no mooooreeee..
I believe in freedom to express, advertise, bitch etc etc as long as no one steps on anyone's toes..So in that context i should be tottaly non chalant toward this flier bullshit...
and in that same vein i am free to bitch this flier out. YES SEX SELLS...but who gives a damn?? I thought we were selling the music here, the experience..and if some chick has absolutely no sense of self respect and doesn't mind engaging in TASTELESS adverstising tactics well...each to his own. There is obviously some insecurity or inferiority complex that she probably suffers from...maybe she doesn't trust her "DJing" skills enough and feels that she's gotto sell herself by flaunting what she's got....which isn't much to be honest....i'ld rather see yoyo stretched out on some mixing console, licking the cd players than see her in her frigging underwear with some fur draped across her....what exactly are you selling here?? cause i'm confused?? If its your hot little body then comon...BRING IT ON...show me a boob or something. And why is it that i never see any male Dj for that matter, topless, and spread out on some marble podium with some leopard skin draped across their family jewels... So is this some fetish party?? Why are we letting everything become so damn commercialised?? And why the hell do some of us support this commercialization?? are we that beningn and backward in our thought processes to not have learned from all the millions of examples handed down to us over the past 100 years..COMMERCIALIZATION kills creativity. So why don't we let the sex sell in the sex industry and let the music speak for itself in the MUSIC INDUSTRY and if some chick wants to be a wannabe brittney spears...then baby u in the wrong scene...and with all due respect..atleast Brittney Spears can SING and dance...and write songs.
And what really gets me going, is so what if you are a DJ?? Do you make the music?? NO so then who cares about you? Be a humble Dj who exposes people to music made NOT BY YOU..you are just the medium..if anyone needs advertising in this scene its the artists. As a Dj, I hope you have some sense of timing and arrangement and are intelligent enought to press the right knobs and buttons and etc so as not to screw up a mix...and if you are able to that..ITS NOT A BIG ACHIEVEMENT...SURELY DOESN"T WARRANTY HAVING YOURSELF SPLAT ACROSS SOME FLIER..so be humble..and have some sense of decency..and self respect. I feel sorry for you.

Some more reflections,
First off,
I think “we” are being too harsh on Miss Yo-YO. Personally, I haven’t visited Russia nor Moscow, I think sometimes “one” can be very idealistic (which I’ am  ) – when one lives in country like Denmark, where I’m actually being PAID to learn (approx, 600 Euros’s a month after taxes!), a courtesy which would seem outrageous in most countries of the world – outside the Eurocentric bubble, which I’m fortunate enough to live in.
About sex,
Sex is GREAT!
Orgiastic expressions of sexuality are even better!
IMHO, the problem of the latter flyer can better be explained by the following example:
“I’m horny; I’m going to watch a porno movie and have some fun with my self, good movie, she looks almost like miss yo yol, whoow the dialogue has begun, wait stop, this is turning me off, why does she have to SPEAK like a mindless slot, and why don’t I see when she is ‘coming,, does she ever come? The sex scenes were great, just turned off the sound!”
The problem with porn in general, is not the sex which it depicts (the raw photography); it’s the treatment and presentation of women – as mindless slaves belonging and created purely to satisfy men – the unfortunate news is that apparently many men, especially the one’s over forty, greatly appreciate such depictions of women’s sexuality – which in-turn leads one to suspect that men in general, hate the feminine and certainly feminine expressions of sexuality.
In a sense, I agree with Fria (manipulated your concept), I think it would have been preferable if Miss YO yo would have been naked on the flyer, that would have been a statement in my book!
The problem is the commercialisation, the generic bull-shit (which unfortunately sells), which many of us have been fed/brain washed (with), since we were kids. In other words, if you want to express your sexuality then go all the way and shock people, if that’s not your think, then don’t bother – if you are stuck in the middle (like you miss YO yo) - you are only empowering serotypes and contributing to the cause of male propaganda - a very boring cause, which is slowly, but surely destroying our planet.

As far as publicity goes it did miss yo-yo (what's up with that name by the way) a world of good didn't it?! So i guess they acheived their purpose.

For me it's not about sexual preferences in order to be attracted by a flyer or not, it's about the design, i like to see a mix of pure clean colours and shapes and that can make me twist my brain, vision and north. A girl on the ground with that kind of look from a cheap hotel-beach-disco flyer, doesn't matter how hot she is, in that case i prefer to see her in person!
House-elektro groove is based in this kind of liberal sex image but psy-trance it's about fantasy, or at least is what i like to see.
