Organizers.
I dont want to come across as steep but don't You think That $40 is a LOT OF MONEY for Local Artists? (I mean nobody needs to Flight here right?)
I don't mean to disrespect but $40 its too much.
I have been at the X-Noize Party and it was $35 and the organizers made a lot of Money on that Party for sure,there was there at least 500 people.
Is the GREED calling the shots here?
I had a blast last Party, it was worth every penny I paid, seriously. But $40 is a lot.
I hope that ANANDA Is not pushing that "This is my business. And I dont care". Ideology (I heard the main ANANDA Lady say That at the last Party.
I used to throw Parties before I understand all the dynamics that go in to the Costs but This is TOO MUCH Money to charge for a One Night/Day Party without oversees Artists.
If Any organizer reading this Please care to explain why You decide to up the Prices Even More, Besides the "Supply and Demand" Reason.

Hear fuckin hear!! $40 without an international is ridiculous IMHO.
There's a reason - and I don't agree with it - but I dont think there's much of a choice.

I would have to agree it is to high for no international acts and this is coming from one of the organizers even though it is not only my decision, but the truth is the reason there is no international act is because after the last event the owner of the venue nearly doubled the cost for the venue he wants us to get 6 extra bathrooms and more security plus all the Hay we need to bring to insulate the sound, its just a lot of sh_t that adds up.
this is why we need to buy are own ranch and then prices will be slashed in half, anyways thats as much of an explaination I can give about this.
For PsyMan and PsyCore, I beleive you are part of the PsyTribe family, so e-mail me and I will put you guys on a discount list. $40 price is for the general public. |

even though none of us like to pay this much for a party, the reasoning of Greed on the part of the property owners is what we all have to deal with as event coordinators. Please do not feel that psytribe would do this strictly for profit, i've been going to their events for almost 9 years now and that is definitely not their vibe.
since the locations we can use are rapidly disappearing (whether due to stupidity - some fucktard that called 911 when they got stuck in the sand in the mojave last march, thus ruining a FREE fucking location FOREVER) or just being outright screwed by greedy landowners.
please, if you like these artists (which they're all awesome locals that DESERVE to be going overseas), then try to find a way to scrounge up the cash, the party will be worth it's weight in gold.
I'm sure this is only temporary, somebody will eventually by a nice piece of land we can all call home real soon, i can feel it, especially since it's a buyers market for property right now.
 We are all family. We put the fun in disfunctional.

On the money Tom. $40 is for sure salty but that little paradise is not there for free, they do know how nice it is, how close from the city, and by now they know who we are and how big is the attendance. sad but the owner did smell the cash.
in any way is party time, and a GOOD one.priceless.

As for the rate hike, anyone wanna bet some rave promoters contacted the landowner directly and offered big bucks - so the landowner smelled the cash (like Manny said) - and is makin us pay for it.
That's it - I'm winning the lottery. Never have to worry about a location again...

Enjoy what we have here people, no one likes steep prices but... During all my years in the Bay Area trance scene we always had to drive a *minimum* of 3 hours to be able to dance outdoors, and that was usually for dusty-ass "shatter your oil pan driving 5 miles of rocky dirt road" Angel's Camp. The other choices were driving all the way to Mendocino or... driving all the way to LA for a Psytribe party. I think you'd spend a lot more than $40 on gas these days getting to Mendocino or thereabouts...
I got several new tracks and remixes ready for Gemini this year but had to miss playing there this year, so I am super stoked to be able to play that set and see all of you at this awesome new location!

In addition to closing out this party I must step in and let this community know that I am also the token psy realtor........Im all behind buying our own oasis....many people read these threads....all we need are about five or six people who could qualify for a loan........pool together...and steal something..within reach ...close by..this is definitley the time. I know the energies are behind this concept already..so if anyone has the means or is curious please contact me(not while Im spinning though.. Im also donating my commission towards the purchase price of the land assuming its bought by our brothers and sisters... psyclops will do the loan... |

HUH? Maybe you don't remember because we were usually pretty out of it those events, but the reason those were worth the drive is they were 3 day parties, foo!
Regardless, I'll be see everyone on the 26th....phatty psytrance + outdoors+ birthday= good times with my favorite peeps!
