I think god saved me from this event.... I always come smelling like wild green flowers the dogs would of probebly jump on me first thing....

yuli your reply isn't biased at all....*rolleyes* you always come to production's help in threads where people post their real criticism....just because you played at one of their parties and they paid you on time doesn't mean they do a good job doing their job.

and finally punkass....nice words you sure know how to write and get your point accross....but anyone with a little brain can see thru your words...the LEAST a party organizer can do when they have police with FUCKING DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on site is to warn they crowed...which you couldn't even do?

I think the party was great!
Had a great time..the linup was diverse..dancefloor with shade..sprinklers...cold beer..nice happy poeple..swimming pools...
I have been playing in parties here since 96..and i think that moksha is the best org ever here in israel..and if being commercial is being able to bring a big a linup huge soundsystem and a party that doesnt stop at six a.m from a roberry or the cops..than i vote commercial.

criticism or not, i think moksha did it BIG time..

ppl don't know to apprichate this HUGE efforts, amzing how they did this terrific event!!

commerchialty has meny ways, all the psy-parties all aorund the world, but as oran said before, if you bring line up like this, it won't be a smull event, and it shounl't..
it was one hell of a celebration..
cops had to be there becose of approval event.. and they always be suckers.. couse that what they do!..

so.. moksha team: sagiv, eyal, huda, inon and all involed.. THANK you for this AMAZING shavo'ut celebration..
and continue to do it in your best way 10 years more

One thing I just don't get is when did "critique" become a dirty word. It seems like these days you just can't voice a complaint about a big production without a dozen talkbacks biting your head off as if you insulted their grandmother.

I was away at a wedding this weekend so I wasn't at any of the parties to know what went on, but I happen to think psylady37 wrote very eloquently (much more so than many of the usual voices on here) and her opinion deserves the full respect. I think all reasonable opinions deserve respect, negative or positive.

Some regard psy events as an art form, others as a business, in both cases criticism is healthy and crucial. Only from criticism you learn and improve. No production gets 100% success rates, someone always gets disappointed, and everyone's entitled to their opinion and it should be respected. You can argue about the details but attacking someone just because they made some criticism is simply fascist..

Just because a production is veteran and well known and invested alot in an event is no reason to let them off easy. This kind of attitude makes for lazy producers, with all due respect to huge efforts (and there is respect). Open forums and discussion are really for healthy debates which help us be better, not for kissing ass and patting each other on the back..
And I don't get this thing about new users old users - what is this sabotage paranoia? jesus, it's just a friggin' online post, words on a screen, anyone can choose to address it or ignore it and form an opinion but 'sabotage' is soooo over reacting, no one's setting fire to the speakers... as if you have to earn the right to voice an opinion whether you're new to psy or just on the forum or wherever.

I think what makes a production truly great is if it is attentive, if it listens and cares to all members of their crowd regardless of who they are, new or old - and especially if it listens to other pros' crowds and maintains a finger on the general pulse and vibe. Thank god there's forums like this, for that very purpose, and this can only benefit all productions and all crowds. There's always plenty of good words to be said, so what's the problem with balancing it with pointing out the faults? Personally I happen to think it is the negative criticism that helps the most and pushes you the farthest, no matter what the situation is, psy or otherwise.

hmmm.... why should we treat what you write seriously if you're not willing to stand behind it (not even with your username, it's not like we asked for an address or something...)???

And it is kinda weird that those extra motivated extreme posts come from new users with 2 posts.

Yeah I knew this would come - let me please correct you.. I play main sets on Moksha parties since summer 2000 ( party with Tomek from Bigwigs in the north of Israel ), during those years I have played at least 10 parties for this organisation, and they ALWAYS paid on time ( EVEN WHEN THEY LOST HEAPS ).

And now let me please quote myself from previous page:

Quote:

Altogether, I am not a sucker for big ones, and this was a very big one.. so I prefer them smaller. Considering the magnitude and investment in the event, it was pretty much very good. The only three things that come up to my head are:

A. Chill out inside the Ganey Huga
B. Much more trash bins
C. Could anyone please sort the lineup thing once and for all? Differences of styles and more than 10 bpm between sets are really sometimes little too much to cope with...

This is what I call useful critisizm . I mentioned that I personally found this party too big for my taste and prefer smaller. It was too dirty, there was no Chill in the tents / Ganey Huga area and the lineup setting was pretty awkward ( one of the reasons I left earlier than expected ).

The only problem I had with those ppl that wrote their bad with the party, is that somehow most of them were new users ( and it is weird a little bit, and not first time when new users are used to bash something just to make it look bad ), and the way it was done. To call something like that "MONEY PARTY" is plain stupid, since I can assure any of you that the profit in this one was less than the profit in the TFN party that was mentioned before in that thread and happened to be half an hour away from Moksha, as a "good example", since the extra 2000 ppl in Moksha party most probably hardly covered the cost of renting Ganey Huga and bringing the tent for main floor.

I am too old thanks for correcting..

BTW maybe its the right time to ( open my big mouth again and ) give another example to all those that praised TFN for making parties for the ppl ( unlike Moksha ).. @ Yom Azmaut, 2004 Moksha made a really big party near Gaza strip with Son Kite and myself and Danni Makov live ( Ofcourse they were bashed then too, for making party in a country club, since it wasn't "pure" nature... ). TFN, that was mentioned here by some "critics" wanted to bring my live with Makov more than few times, but the same price that Moksha paid easy without thinking too much about it, was apparently too expensive for TFN the few times they asked me to play. Now.. the size of parties is same.. The prices are the same... Who is making money here?..

oran- are my reply and opinions really lame?? do you really think if it's an older user or new user's opinion it make any difference?
a comment about the opinions would be allright, being arrogant to other people opinions just because of being more invovled in this site seems wrong to me.

Quality and making money do not go together
apparently.

i realy like to hear what do you consider quality cause in my book theres nothing more "quality" than artists like sensient shpongle and hallucinogen...so until you book thosae to your ultra hush hush nature boom shankar only cool ppl hat party maybe its better to S**U..

And with all those plur talking from whoever it is you quote there, i guess it is realy plur to register a new account to isratrance just to throw shit around...

It's understandable to bitch about this dj that sucked or that the sound was a bit low but to say it was a money party?like you didnt knew the price before you got there?or did you realy think there will be no police there?did you think they will risk everything just so you could feel good with yourself?cause if the answer is yes then you are the joke here..

but dont ever stop cause they survived all that shit for 10 years now only to get stronger and become the best production as of today PERIOD.

from your words i understand thet you are from moksha or very "prety" butiful person. and the reason for their survivel can be very much the money they make but its not your probloem "you allways have tha money to help their bisness"

during mokshas 10 years of making parties i was in 5 events by the moksha crew (the last one was purim 2008),it's a great crew with alwase a great line up,i wished i could come to this last event, due to some helth problmes i couldnt.
well,if it wasnt for moksha crew in israel, thing's whould seem a litle boring...alwase a diverse line up wich is a great great thing! hearing total eclipse retro set (so i was told) and haltya and sensient in the same party (?!?!?!) that's simply a dream like line up!

best regards, lots of love and respect and a big happy birthday for moksha crew for the big balls of making big parties with big artists!

and of course,happy shavuot everyone!

In my opinion it was great party, I am really enjoyed it: the location was awesome, the sound system as well and the music was great from all the artists.
Only on thing was missing for me and it is the vibe that was totally missing for me.
The people was seems to be tired with out any energies to party.

But besides that everything was great , tnx Moksha crew !
