You know there are just people that stand for bad vibes.....no matter what you do and how much you welcome them into your "home" they act like idiots and like to ruin things....It's just in their nature....or they think they are cooler than everyone else who doesn't "get" them......Whatever...These types will either learn how to act, or can f' off in my opinion....they should and I would bet do know when they are crossing that line between being f'ed up and in a trance, and when they are just trying to ruin things....it makes them feel substantiated I guess...poor souls...I feel this vibe from these types and I say F' em....their loss. I know it doesn't seem very trancey of me, but what else can you do? you try and you try.......

anyway aside from the idiots that were there......

Party was amazing...to add to Andrea's story and to show how someone hard and not of our mindset can still accept and understand our mission.....I had a "cholo" come up to me when I was with Andrea in the water stand....he looked at me and began to thank me for the great time he had, but it wasn't until I truly saw the look in his eyes that I was able grasp the emotion and raw feeling this man was expressing to me....He had a look of pure love.....that look when you through a life of chaos and hate truly understand the gravity of this scene when you finally and in his case through fate experience it (he was at another after hour that was busted up. his promoter paid for him to attend our party. thanks) and it's true meaning. This man, a cholo, who to most would look like a gang banger, expressed his purest and most vulnerable of emotions. Love, to a complete stranger.

I don't know how many of you ever saw the infamous "Karahana" video, but there was a scene where the female in Man Made Man explained how touching and shocking it was to connect with someone at a trance party that you never met. her response to this experience was simply, "Yeah"

And after seeing in his eyes and hearing from this man that never met me how much he was touched, my response to Andrea was simply, "Yeah".........and that was not intentional. After saying it that I immediately thought about that scene in the movie and just shook my head in amazement.....to me, that's what this scene is about.

This scene is so powerful that if you are true and genuine, should touch you immediately. if you've been to many parties and still act like a fool, then you are not really getting it in my opinion. not to say that people can't change their ways, but they have to want to, and have to see the importance in it for themselves.

anyway, all in all a great experience for me, regardless of the people who continually act like fools and do so simply to ruin other people's time to make themselves feel big. To those people, I feel for you and really hope you get what you are missing at some point. And to some maybe the enhancements aren't the answer for you. maybe that's the last thing you need.

AND TO ALL MY PSYTRIBE BROTHERS, ESPECIALLY SPYROS AND ANDY.....THANK YOU FOR THE CONTINUED LOVE AND SUPPORT. THROUGH ALL THE CHAOS, YOU STILL MANAGED TO PULL OFF ANOTHER AMAZING EVENT....ANDY AND I LOVE YOU GUYS DEARLY.

Perfect post, Andy.

I couldn't have asked for a better response to my questions.

If you're going to hire professional, cool. Just let them know whats cool and whats not before letting them loose on the pack.

If you're going to hire friends who know whats cool and whats not - awesome. I'm sure you know plenty of people who have been in the scene long enough to know whats cool and whats not that can enforce some minor (yet major effect) rules.

Or, you could hybrid - hire professional, and add a few people from the scene who can spot the people out of line a bit easier.

It might also be nice to see the people from the scene wearing SECURITY shirts, and dancing their asses off. That might make the prospect of having a security force present a little easier to swallow.

Good party mates! I had tons of fun.

For those who apply, for those who know me for more than 5 years and know how I party... seriously if this is not for you just ignore it. ok? ok... ok!

I speak from my heart alot and mostly when im in the wrong state to do so. Sorry If I weirded you out in any way I only care and this is all I can say. The times they are a changing for me and I've had enough! I WILL change my actions. If I can quit smoking cigs, which was keeping my life down, I sure as hell can tackle this small monkey on my back. I love you all.

If you would like to respond to this please PM me. I dont want to turn this colorful thread into something its not... I just had to get that off my chest. Since I only hear about these events after the fact.

Again great party. Lets keep on trucking into the future!!           http://soundcloud.com/djkiva

one suggestion, and i'm not sure if this would help or work or whatever... is what about making the party presale only? that way those who are really into the music will buy a presale, it might keep out some people who are just there to be idiots.
Its a tricky situation, and i definitely don't have the solution. I mean you want to be open, and allow new people the chance to experience the majik of a trance party, so you don't want to be too exclusive.... at the same time, you want to keep the vibe high and the village idiots out...
anyway, props once again to psytribe. and i wish you luck in your future events. you guys are doing great things for psytrance in LA
peace!

I think in order to educate those people who acted like "animals" Psytribe should have set up a projector where the chillout area was and show them educational material like "Last Hippie Standing" explaining history of psytrance culture showing all the love and passion that it carries.
You have to remember that not all the people who love psytrance were always in love with it or even knew about it's existence. A lot of trance people including some of the best trance artists were into hardcore, metal, punk and you know that all these cultures are not really that peaceful and really do not promote love.
So I think not only security but each and everyone of us should have told theses people to stop what they were doing and show them a better way to party. I realize that some people are unchangeable and it would not help, but at least some would understand.
I agree with one of the previous posts were someone started picking up bottles and trash from the dance floor and others followed. People are all born the same but they all need to be shown the good and the bad (if their parents never showed them), so let's show them by setting examples like cleaning trash from dance floor, giving out free water, fruit, smiles.

As far as the music at the party: I really liked some of the music in the evening and some in the morning. But in my taste the best was during Penta's performance and I also liked some of Parus stuff even if it was a bit minimal.

Also the sound system was truly amazing!!!

Thanks Psytribe.
Hope to see you soon and I wish I could play some of my chillout tunes at your future parties.

Peace...

Love the suggestion, but we don't want to alienate anyone who maybe doesn't have a cc, or a computer. not all do and it wouldn't be psytrance if we didn't welcome everyone.

but a good suggestion....maybe we can do presale online and at a "store" or location???

but not sure that would cut out the element entirely...because they are rude and act like animals, doesn't mean they don't have computers...and in a sense we wouldn't have had any of the newbies that were touched by our event if we had only presale.

hey, we need training at our parties....that's an awesome idea. we'll ask at the door if they've been here before. if they say no, direct them to the training tent....hahahahhahahahha. I love it....

OK, I think enough has been said about the gropers and the candy raver music. Here's my report on everything else:

Thank you Spyros for saving my ears. I love you! (But I did like that set you played at BGM's a while back...even better than this one...where's your dark side? OK, even I can admit it wasn't the right time for that.)

Thank you everyone for wearing all the clothes I've made for you all in the last few months, it added to the eye candy and also to my customer base, and it's great to see people love the things I make. There's more a-comin, just look out for the May 13th dress up party!!!

Thank you Turtle and Amit for making funny noises.

Thank you Penta for making me dance my ass off like an animated rubber ball. But I could have done without the idiot coming up to me when I'm obviously in a dance trance and saying, "where you from?" Save that for when I'm sitting down somewhere, dude. And don't expect a straight answer, either.

One of my highlights was a walk I took in the morning, when I found some beautiful baby mushies growing in the ground near the river. We dug em up, and took em to be worshipped at the dance floor.

My worst moment was when I was on the dance floor, and I saw some guy who literally had foam dribbling out of the corner of his mouth...really freaky. Disgusting. But there were enough people I love around me to balance out the disgusting factor. And really, I feel quite sorry for that idiot. Maybe he'll hang around long enough to learn, and change.

That whole idea of the training room thing, it's totally hilarious!! I'll work there! Gimme a shift, and I'll teach these idiots whats up!!!

Yes, I had a great time at this party...but it was weird in many ways. That's ok, it just means that more people are being exposed. Thank you everyone for setting up a magnificent event, and coming to celebrate life with me!!!

i don't know if it is such a nice thing to call the people with bad behaviour animals. it is a pretty de-humanizing approach to these guys and gals. yes i thought they were annoying too, and for sure their behaviour needs to be stopped..... but that is not reason to strip them of their humanity. they seem to be doing a pretty good job of that already anyways. besides, i am pretty sure that the kitty kats at my mom's house would be more pleasent to be around than some of the droolers, so let's give them a break too(;

saying someone acted like an animal is not quite the same as saying someone is an animal.....PC is PC and in trance I try to be true.......that's just me. I can't remember the last time a grown human being peed on a speaker, or other electronic equipment...so, to say they acted like animals is an understatement really.

And I do see the point in what you are saying, but no matter how you look at it, it is what it is and all the humans were completely mortified by what occured. all the animals (meaning the birds, dogs, even fish in attendance), I would imagine weren't affected either way. so you call it what you will, that's how I make sense of it.           assumption is the mother of all fuckups.

first of all ,i would like to say thanks to Muaricio,Edoardo,Penta, and the Pirus twins for coming out to LA and giving us a great show.....
also,to all the rest of the djs who played, very strong and powerful sets!
and of course to MOST of the people who came, thank you,it was nice to see all the smiling faces again, especially some that i havent seen in a long time(Enrique)!
i will be honest and say for the first time in a Psytribe party,i felt uncomfortable in the front of the dancefloor.....the vibe was wrong....even got into it with someone peeing behind the speeker....
that made me so angry that i stooped to their level and picked up a rod and tried to smack his penis!
that obviously made him angry, and we had to be seperated by Dai.....
a bunch of shit happed that morning that made me think twice about what im doing.....i got into this scene to get away from shit like that and now its here.
Security guards is an obvious answer but it will take more than that...its going to take all of us.....we all need to make an effort together and we will put an end to this....i promise! people should comminicate to me or to Andy or to anyone of the 50 people involved! If anybody came to me and told pointed out to me something that shoulnt be happening, i would do my best to not let it happen again. i have never seen any groping going on because if i did,i would do something about it.

ok...looks like I just got the good moments.but now after a avalanche of calls and emails ,I think we have a task on our hands, and WE ARE GOING TO FIX.
I love to take my pictures in the morning,is my lovely hobby, but from now one I will be doing mug shots of the idiots and make sure they are on the shit list.
I think this is all for the better,we fix it quik.so far nobody get kill.
my friend call me on tears today.she went to her car to get water and on the top of her new car was a open wide blowjob on progress.they first didn't care for her shots of go away,so she just got a big rock and chrarge the ANIMALS.only bad animals do this kind of stuff if yoy have in consideration than there was 2 very young kids(6,7 years +or -)wathing from a very short distance.
Is just about time.forguet the rest.lets take our position we still have time.
I'm very luck,I was playing on the chillout when the speaker bullshit happened.I never did fight in my life, but if I see that we my eyes, tragedy woud strike.
again thanks for my psytribe family for the great event.Manny.

never thought it was a good idea to promote these parties. this is a scene where those who need to be there go there and those who don't never come back or return when they are ready. the growth will happen gradually and naturally by word of mouth. we can't force a good thing..it has to evolve on its own. spyros i know your disappointed but don't think twice about what your doing. hindsight is 20-20 but going forward steps can be taken to prevent the gorilla activity. man i would have given anything to see you whack that dude           Fighting for peace is like fucking for virginity...

Love is not lost....Psytribe is love. Period!

we will all strive to make things better. the BJ on someone elses car? although a nice thought from a mans point of view (really) totally disrespectful to the person who owned the car. she had to pick up a rock like she was shoeing away pigeons shitting on her car....but no, let's not say they act like animals. that wouldn't be the right thing to say at all!! right!!!

Really, openness is great...openness is what it is all about. but the moment you step on someone elses property or being you cross the line......really. be open. have fun...... sit on the ground and pack a load, pass it around, but peacefully, and respectfully and all while aware of your surroundings.......if all are responsible, and like KIVA said to me yesterday so truly, show respect. If you do we will thrive forever.......it all comes down to respect to the fellow person next to you. respect him and he has no reason to disrespect you.
