my review for this cd, now all in one page

Zillion Mental Anarchic Records
------------------------------------
new cd from zillion mental come this weak
to the shops, this the third chapter of this super series

good artis come and make us delicious album.
i'm not a big fan of minmal sound but this one got to me from the start.
i think the minmal go some steps up in this cd
the artis use more and more sound and make the tracks more groove and for sure have extra vibe sound.

the second track
is one of the best ten minutes I’ve heard in a long time.
so many sonds in the track super kick bass, realy somting that avry psy lovers need to try listen to.

progressive meat full on
-------------------------------
u see in this album minor melodys that come from track to track and make it more easy to listen and i think more fun, this somting u dont listen in other minmal cds around and its good point to this album
if u have the album try track 6 to see wat i'm talcking about.

for the end i like to say that minmal fans need to try this for sure, not many cds like this come out

for full on ppl thay can easy lose yourself in this one, so i think the best way for u guys is listen to this in psyshop and see for your self

see u all the next party somewhere...

( sorry about my shit english )

Another fine compilation from ZMA, my favourite label so far this year (closely followed by Iboga and Digital Structures).

A short run through my opinion on the different tracks (sorry, a little short on time at the moment):

1. The party starts with a groovy morning track from the Frogacult boys. Although it's a pretty nice track, it doesn't really stand out from some of their earlier work.

2. Very powerfull stuff here - dancefloor stomper.

3. Nice uplifting sounds here, and the buildup is well done.

4. I had high expectations for this one, as the original was a very powerfull track - and one of my favourites from the last ZMA compilation. I find the remix pretty good - but not better than the original.

5. Groovy stuff, but doesn't seem to really go anywhere. A filler track imho - not bad though.

6. Again a very powerfull track, but this time with some mindblowing melodies. WOW!

7. Storming night tune here. Really gets your feet moving

8. One of the weaker tracks here. Not at all bad, but doesn't really stand out. A bit more on the psychedelic side of things, with a lot of swirling sounds

9. Again a nice track by Molecular. Great uplifting morning sounds, but not as good as track #3.

This is the 3rd high class compilation from ZMA this year, and even though I find it weaker than "A Step Beyond" it's a real gem. There is not a single bad track here, and still we get to hear some new and fairly unknown artists in action.
- I recommend it.

Rating: 8.5/10

My favs: 2, 3, 6, 7, 9.

At last a compilation where I can hear progressive tracks with psychedelic elements in it.
ZMA has done a wonderful this time too.
The cd starts with a few very good progressive tracks moving on to hard night progressive, then to full on, and then back to smooth progressive. Just like a set.
Excellent compilation. I adore it.
ZMA, give us some more pls.

(I copied Deathpostures style, because it seems to be a great way to do it, and he helped me a little with the review.)

Here it comes..

Review:

This is the third part of the Monarchie serie. ZMA tried to seduce as many people as possible, with this one, and my conclusion is that they did their job well.. On this compilation there is a large variety of styles.

Let me take you thru the tracks…

#01 Frogacult – Beware of the Sand [138 bpm]:
Frogacult are Mikkel Calum and Casper Datai from Denmark. They produce morningtrance in high class, and they absolutely prove that with Beware of the Sand. The track starts out nice and quiet, suddenly a voice appears “Beware of the ground you stand, he floor is quicker than the Sand”, afterwards the beat goes on. Around 3:40 the “Beware of the ground you stand, he floor is quicker than the Sand”-sample is repeated, and divided by a weird voice, maybe it is reversed or something, I do not know. The vocals stops, and the beat keeps on going, nice and quiet with a sweet little melody, that makes the track stronger. Later on the vocals starts again, pretty predictable, but nice anyway because it is a great sample. A perfect track for sunrise.

#02 Metronome & Sonitus – Psycho Poet [138 bpm]:
Written and produced by H. Nillson and L. Ymin. This is a very hard and pumping track. Do not be fooled by the 138 bpm, this is a hardpumping track. The breaks are perfect, and the melodies fits the track perfect. A perfect track for the night hours.

#03 Molecular – Confucious [138 bpm]:
Molecular are A. Shilansky and Y. Hamam. This track starts out with a sweet melody, and after a short period of time the beat goes on. A hard pumping beat. This goes on and on, where the melody switch on and off. For me this is not a great track, but that is my opinion.

#04 M.O.S. (Mittelstandskinder Ohne Strom) – Connected (Nerve rmx) [140 bpm]:
M.O.S. and Nerve are Christian Bruckhaus and NDM from Germany. The track starts out with a dark sphere, and then the beats goes on. This is a more technoid track, but not as technoid as The Delta. Around ´3”30, a short buildup appears, and a short melody turns on, a small break divide the melody into two parts, where the second part is a bit more energetic, the second part keeps on going until the track stops. For me is this track a medium track, it is not bad and it is not good.

#05 Overlap – 6th Sense [140 bpm]:
Overlap are Misha Puchkov and Vyachaslav Bogachev from Moscow, Russia. They released their debut album on ZMA also, in January this year (2004), and is titled 6th Sense. As usual the beat goes on, after a short period of spheres. This is not the usual Russian style, like Parasense and Kindzadza. The track has a great beat, a beat that swings well, pretty catchy in my opinion. Suddenly a melody turns up, this keeps on going until the end of the track. I think this track would be great in a party.

#06 Prosper – Synaesthesia [142 bpm]:
Prosper are N. Vujnovic from Yugoslavia, also known as Manibus. Please step aside, this is “da bomb”. The mind blasting melody that starts almost from the beginning, and keeps on until the end. The beat is not hard or soft, it fits perfect with the melody. I am speechless, this track is perfect, and would be perfect for the night hours. Definitely my favourite track on the compilation.

#07 Time Lock – Vaio Fever [145 bpm]:
Time Lock are Felix Nagorsky, ½-part of P.P.S. Project. Time Lock has released his debut album on ZMA also, it was released in May 2004. He is from is from Israel, and proved to us, that it is not just the typical Full-On sound, that are being produced in Israel. The track is a Full-On masterpiece in my opinion. The beat is a nice Full-On beat, and around ´5”00 hell breaks loose, the sweet little melody appears again in a short, but very enjoyable, moment. Very nice track, but way too short, he should do a extended rmx of it.

#08 Mungusid – Toaster [145 bpm]:
Mungusid are A. Soloid from Ukraine. He gives us a nice Full-On track, with a nice beat and some nice melodies. Nothing special nothing bad, a medium track.

#09 Molecular – Sky High [138 bpm]:
Second track by Molecular on this compilation. This one is slower than Confucious, and is more sunrise based. It has a nice beat, and some killer melodies. It is a nice track to finish off the compilation, and it is nice to see that it can be possible to finish off a compilation with a morning track, instead of an ambient track or a track in similar style to the other tracks from the compilation. Very good track in my opinion, perfect for the sunrise, just like the Frogacult track.

General this compilation are perfect putted together. Almost every track is unique in some kind of way, and lots of the tracks are masterpieces. Most of the releases I have heard from ZMA are brilliant, and this is getting more and more rare these days, so thumbs up for ZMA, for bringing us, these masterpieces. The only reason why I do not give it 10 out of 10, is because of the tracks that just are medium, and not as good as the others.

9/10

Favourites: 1(!!), 2(!), 6(!!!!!), 7(!) and 9(!)
