But noone else have even come close to actually presenting some viable solutions for the problems we are facing. Everything just keeps looping around lame political views and struggles for power, while the whole society is being F***ed by greed and lust for material goods.

Why do people keep beliving that if we just put someone new in charge, everything will suddenly get better? "Change you can belive in", Obama said... Well to be honest, I haven't really seen any change, let alone change for the better. Everything just keeps going in the same direction it always have.

As Peter Joseph and Jaque Fresco say themselves. The venus project is not perfect, and it never can be, it's just a whole lot better than what we have today.

No, the system isn't sustainable in it's current state - but that's not a new thing, or something that the Zeitgeist movement has found out. This is a fact that has been clear for both politicians, economists, companies and people around the world for a while. Heck, "The Limits To Growth" (although not perfect) was published almost 30 years ago...

Kaz,
Seems to me like you didn't pay any attention or you haven't actually seen "Zeitgeist: Moving forward".
Your "review" could just as well be about "Capitalism: A love story"...

"Zeitgeist: Moving forward" is all about the possibilities and solutions.
Humans are NOT born evil and the current system is not even sustainable. If you can't acknowledge this you're the one who's uninformed and/or won't think critically.

I didn't review the movie, I just pointed out it's flaws, which you didn't even bother to comment on - either you tell me why I'm wrong, or just tell me it is blind belief that guides you. I am open to rational discussion. I think that there are better ways to improve our world, and that this movie is more rhetoric than anything close to an actual, scientific view.

I don't love the capitalist system. I do believe it is a "lesser evil", so to speak. I never said that it cannot and should not be fixed or improved. I never said that humans are born evil, just that there are traits to humanity which have been constant throughout history. These are some fallacies in your reply.

Humanity does not want equality, and could care less about fairness. It's easy to call out for fairness, but actually doing something about it is difficult. I do not consider making people watch this movie "doing something". If there was a thread about a movie called "Capitalism is the best", I would point out it's flaws equally, and call it garbage.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

The pros:

The proposal is presented in a more coherent and complete way, presented with good argumentation.
The critic on the system is integral and well focused too, it set aside conspiracy theories.

The cons:

They seem to push too much the idea that the "system" was invented and then imposed. Economics study how the system works, it doesnt give the foundations for it, market was there before economics. They way the put together Firedman and Misses is stupid.

The system they present is perfect, they dont seem to think any problems will arise.

To achieve such a system will requiere to overide many peoples beliefs.Which is the main problem with humans and they dont seem to adress this in their change strategy.

Finally the main problems with this type of holistic aproach to solving human problems is that it doesnt take in to account a part of human nature: imperfection, diversity and beliefs.

If western capitalist democracies are damned to fail, I want to see them crash.

IMPOV:

Capitalism can be fixed by:

1.- Going back to hard money, no more central banks pure free banking system

2.- All negative externatlities must be brought inside the system and the real costs of waste, social inequalities, pollutions etc be incorporated in to the economy.

But the main problem to solve first is: humans wont accept that easy the costs of fixing the system.           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."
