Ok so we in this section obviously like hardware to some extent, and we talk so much about positives n' exiting new stuff but what about bad purchases?

For me music wise my 2 biggest regrets were:

Traktor S4. I'd convinced myself that going digital was a great idea, sold all my cdj gear and spent $1K on this when it first hit shops. It sat unused for 18 months before I finally managed to flog it off for $550. I never used it because I just found organizing and setting files correctly was so time consuming compared to chucking a cd in and manually adjusting on the fly. I then bought 2 cdj100s & a djm300 mixer that I now use to practice/have fun daily for $200 for the lot in mint condition.

A UA-25 audio interface. It just wasn't giving me the sound quality I expected for the price & reviews. Luckily it sold 6 months later for almost full price

Yours?           Cuntus Maximus.

Microsampler has tough learning curve, I used to regret owning it too but been using it quite a bit these days.

DSI Evolver. Just not my cup of synth, sold it after a couple of weeks.

Nord Rack 2! Nice synth, played a lot with it, but doesn't fit my music, dunno why... sold           http://soundcloud.com/aedem

not one really.. but if i have to pick the worst i would say ssl duende dsp, really good plugs but dsp solution sucks , it s like dongles.. this or my rme converter, overpriced for their sound , my audiofire 2 sound a lil better (imo) or in same league for less than half the price . i dont really regret cause it s still quality stuff that served me well but i could have save a bit of cash there

Andromeda A6. Buggiest piece of shit ever. Shame as the sound was not bad and I wanted to program the damn thing, but values jumping had me popping valiums with brandy for weeks in front of it.
