My biggest purchase failures are:

Studio Electronics Boomstar.
American Audio VMS4
2nd-hand TC Electronic Powercore pci card, which never worked in my system

But mostly I regret selling some gear, like:

Genelecs 8040, to get a pair of KRK RP8's (because it had more bass)
Roland XV-88
Waldorf Micro Q, which I traded for some garbage Oberheim master keyboard.

Before I eventually upgraded to my Adam Audio A7 monitors I was still slapping myself daily to the head in disbelieve I actually sold my Genelecs, and that for just 750 Euros.

As Djones I have a big regret selling a Digitech Quad4.

Weird??

I sold it for BRL 650.00 to a friend of mine. And, dont know why, this is the piece of fx that ppl like Infected, Astrix were asking for a live...

Result: Each rent for the Quad4 were about BRL 600.00!           LOADING...

It would be software: Harmor, I do like it, not just enough time to learn it.           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

@ Login, I always found that with all software. I spens far too much learning how to use that it takes the fun out of making music. That's why I sold all my software synths/etc. to a mate and am going pure hardware except for DAW (Ableton).

Something excites me so much about diving into a hardware synth not matter how simple it is, or tweaking FX etc. outside the box compared to staring at a screen and just playing with a midi controller.           Cuntus Maximus.

my biggest regret is not WHAT i bought but HOW i bought it.
i've always lived by the motto "try before buy" but failed twice because i found something irresistable i couldn't get very often here. so i bought old analog synths via ebay. DON'T DO IT!
the synth might be fully working as the buyer said but after UPS has thrown it around it will not!

otherwise i've been pretty pleased with what i've had and haven't actually regreted any buy...

really? Harmor is a beast, on of the best virtual synths ever made

do you know harmor can convert any type of sample into synthesis?? and you can use is almost like a granular vst, you can pace up and slow down and make incredible stuff with it...

i understand its not an easy synth to use, but if you are experienced and if you know what you want it offers you an incredible amount of sonic habilities, and its a very light vst, either on memory or cpu...

For sure I'm so over my Sub Phatty. Luckily I got it new with 30% discount but wish I'd either spent a bit more on ten DSI Mopho LE or else a Minibrute. Mostly should've waited for the Sub 37.

I think I'm gonna grab the Minibrute SE when it's out & sell my Sub Phatty to fund it.           Cuntus Maximus.

Yeah my mate was all set to buy the Prophet 12 last week & stupidly let the sells rep sell him the TI instead, luckily I got to my mate as he was just about to unpack it. Took him back to the store & swapped it plus the extra $$ for the Prophet 12. Prophet 12 is just so nice even at the price & even if not fully analog. It's definitely on my wishlist as my poly synth.           Cuntus Maximus.

Made my move. After not being happy with my Sub Phatty over the last 5 months I'm trading it in on a new MS-20 Mini tomorrow!!           Cuntus Maximus.
