you can totally pull all sorts of neat tricks with these kick drums to momentarily weird them out in ways that I wouldn't think of doing with other synths.
for instance, automating the amount of signal from the Modulator going into the Gate every 8 or 16 bars or, which is easily made more interesting by also adding some subtle LFO modulation to the ratio of the Modulator...

OK so I am totally making an all-aalto trance track inspired by this thread and aalto in general.
just made a mod of one of your leads pom...
try out this pattern with a ping pong delay ~25% wet ~35% feedback, and tweak the Drive parameter up slowly...mhm...

will do you use aalto in big size? strange cause when i open your patch , close the ui and reopen it , it s in very big ,might save the ui size with the patch? might be a bug |

caractere of kick can sound quite close to some delta x dream kick .. funny cause i was looking for that sort of thing the other day..didnt even know i had a similar patch in aalto.. |

I was just thinking to myself...hm....if only this env could have a slightly different curve...
then realized I had the +1 and +2 and I can make the curves in ableton
