lot of posford patch i feel how about AM modulation.. it s give his touch to his sound.. also the control of the harmnonics with modulation.. gona experiment more and with my Xs there is probably few intresting stuff to learn out of this.. creative groove with harmonics.. and amplitude modulation in a way we do it always.. but i wanna experiment so the sounds are all about this..
really need a modular man , i find alto sometimes have limiation that are frustating.. next version wont have as much hopefully..in a way it s good.. to learn to exploit already all this..theere is hours to spends but.. |

fuckin a this thing matches my bazzism that I've got going but it has more character and I've spent so many hours on bazzism and hardly anything in comparison on aalto percussion...

lol really man? i had doubt it was usefull for kick.. but look like it could do the job.. aalto everywhere..would be fun to make a tune full of aalto sound.. bassline it need to be sampled for a stable bass it seems

man, aalto kick with a SMIDGE of compression sounds very full and nice. A/Bing it against my bazzism and I definitely like the character of the aalto patch more.
it sounds kinda 'old school' kick but its not too zappy or missing presence.

also responds nicely to Glue/SSL compressor abuse - when I really push the Glue in live9 I get a sweet 808 style BOOM coming off it.
It would be neat and experimental sounding I think to have both the kick and bass be very slowly and slightly changing...for instance on my bass I have a slow modulation of the Env 1 decay from ~30-60% of its maximum over a couple of bars...slight, but makes the midi pattern not feel too static

oh, something I didn't know about aalto....all our versions of aalto will sound slightly different!
"As a composer and performer I’ve been burned time and time again by copy protection, so Aalto doesn’t have any. You can make as many copies as you want, but only run one of them at a time. The registration is embedded in the plugin itself, so there’s no keyfile to worry about. Want to use Aalto at a friend’s studio? Copy it to your zip drive and use it. Because of the embedded license info being available, I went and did something a little weird: each copy of Aalto makes a slightly different sound. No more than different units of a Prophet-5, but the filter cutoff and oscillator detune and some other parameters are slightly affected by your unique user data. So the sound of the synth is in a way made very personal to the license holder."

hehe try this patch at 144 BPM, G2 1/6th kick loop.
Take away the waveguide/delay and its just a kick, but with waveguide delay it starts syncopating and doing weird things. maybe user the sequencer to trigger the waveguide and make a patch that has its own bassline built inside....
