Oh! MR. X-Noise said "we did that rmx without any files"....but nobody said that they did not rip off sounds from the original track....
You know, at the end of the day, the point is not if they did the rmx with or without files...the point is that these guys LACK OF IMAGINATION ! PERIOD!

In any case, the original track was all about that incredible insane sample "as a child I could walk..." amd the guitars....
So , If you use those samples, you don't need to add anything alse...

Personally I would be shamed to release such a track! But once more, I have the feeling that a lot of the "new" artists in our scene haven't got any culture regarding music, history and art....

Just to guive my opinion, I also think this is a really lame move from x-noise...no offence intended but I just don't like the idea...

From what X-Noise said about Delta reaction to it, it seemed to me that they really were not up for having this released....ok they said "remove the samples and release if you want, without our name on it" to me it sounds a bit like "we don't like it, we wouldn't release it, if you want, go ahead, but we don't want to have anything to do with it..."

Also the most important thing is that 99% of psy listeners are not isratrance members, and most of them won't even understand whats going on...I had some friends who, seeing no mention to the delta guys on the album, even thought that X-noise where a side project from them, just to give an idea of confusions this might raise...

I would never do such thing, If x-noise like the track, want to do a remix for fun, go ahead...but to release it with no mention whatsoever to the delta guys I think is bad....

I hope this situation doesn't happen again...This has nothing to do with remixing known albums from other styles of music or using samples from movies, its a completelly diferent story...Using a classic Psy tune to make another one, and not mentioning anything about the original producers will just lead to confusion...

Boomzzz!

hey show all the remixes of prodigy and ask them if they like it or not!!!and then release them with their permition.if the dont have it already.it´s fair enough is´nt it "...and justice for all..."(metallica)           "...the only coerent people are the death..."

Yeahh gogoberri... but read my last sentence...what has prodigy or metalica got to do with psy?..nothing....

now imagine a metal band doing a song with the same lirics and guitars of a Metalica song "nothing else matters" for example, with a diferent name and no mention at all to metalica, wouldn't you think that would be really lame?...its about the same situation...

understood the difference and got my point now?... to reuse something made in another genre is a thing (which im also not very keen on btw) but to use a classic within the same genre and not mentioning it is a completelly diferent story in my opinion...

First things first...surely this X-Noise track is a cover version, and not a remix ?

Second, what I would like to know is whether Crystal Matrix is paying The Delta, or their publisher if they have one, mechanical royalties ? Does this ever happen with remixes and cover versions in psytrance ? I have a suspicion that it is probably a rare occurance.

I just listened a whole track finally after reading this controversial thread.

There is no choice but this track made me vote for the worst track of 2005.

No offence to X-noize guys but I just didnt like it at all.

ok lets put it in few lines
1.X-Noize guy/s/ make cover version for famous track just for fun - so far nothing disturbing
2.They contact the original producers of the track to ask them about releasing the track - so far nothing disturbing
3.The original artist give permission for releasing with some additional terms - removing some of the elements and NOT crediting the original artist (maybe you wonder why Delta would do such a thing? maybe they just didn't want X-Noize to use their name to become popular - the track X-Noize - anjuna beach means nothing more than new X-Noize track - doubt anyone expected this to be remix of As a child...now imagine how much attention will pay ppl if they see The Delta - As a child ...(X-Noize Remix) i bet a lot of ppl would by the cd just because of this)
4.Crystal Matrix releases the cover track following all terms which The Delta asked for - what's the problem? The problem is that some of you just don't like the full on side of psytrance (or you just didn't like the remix) and you feel like someone personally insulted you with his remix to an old classic :]
What's the problem here guys? Did native radio have permission to use theme from movie? And if not why there aren't such a thread about it There are many examples of psytrance artists ripping off other artists + I'm sure many DJ's play from unlicensed mp3s + There are artists using unlicensed software to produce music and then releasing it + promoters and even labels not paying to artists + ppl who don't pay to go to party...and a lot more examples of RIP OFFS which are actually much more harmful than this case (which in fact isn't rip off if what X-noize told us is true)
So why the hell there aren't threads about all the others artists, labels, party organizers and normal psy freaks who rip off another ppl?

In fact i could offend BLT with the same arguments for remixing Astral's track if - bla bla bla blt ruined classic, he ruined the whole spirit of the track, it's not right to remix classic tracks, his style is too elitist etc. etc. (note that i like both the original and the remix and only give this for example)
What would be the difference since it's clear that copyright laws are respected in the delta/x-noize case?

Talent with "copy & pate" music ??? Hmmm, I really doubt about!

Stop bothering X-noise? Hmmm, I would do...Only if they stop bothering my ears!

I have the feeling that the "X-noise" guys, have already a negative reputation in this scene....(I am sorry, but this is true)
