ok, i got to the place about 23:00 and the place wasn't so full, at about 24:30 the place had full of people, some dj was playing (cant remember his name), he playied gms stuff and astrix stuff, and i think that is wrong to play at the begining of the party. anyway, after him came Bamboo forest (and i thought to my self its strange that bamboo playing before X-Dream), but hooo i was wrong, bamboo forest gave wonderfull magnetric music some stuff from the Forthcoming Album and some are really new, the mixing of them was a bit Lame, but great music, i know some of the people that didnt like bamboo set.
but i thought it was very good.

than Shane Gobi start pumping the blood with really nice stuff with really great Mixing, big respect Shane (at this point people started to be more groovy and the dance floor got pack.

now, X-Dream are ready to play, well...i gotta tell you that i was expecting the X-Dream Style that i know groovy with tech-trance elements, ohhhhh i was wrong, they gave the most killer and i repeat killer Hypnotic live set, with the most great production i heard, they are so proffesional its AMAZING , this was the best live set i saw in the last years. totally Fucking A M A Z I N G !!!!
when they played "we are stone" i was flying in the air. big respect X-Dream.

then Cosmosis start his really nice build up set with very nice groovy full-On stuff, very nice production, with great mixing.
he put some really killer new unreleased tracks, that was Amazing.

this also was like a reunion of the forum, was very nice seeing and talking with you all again, Tom, Jon, Pavy, Morph27, biggins, Monasticsquid, Shane Gobi, Dark Soho, Deviant Species, Rinkadink, Kristian...and all the Alchemy People, if i forgat someone then im sorry.

lots of great people was in this party, with very nice decoration, and lighting.

that was a great great Party.

Wow... unreal... Thankyou Andreas.. an amazing party..!! I have been to the Rex for the last 3 parties and this was sooooooo diferent!!!! Why? How?..The Calibre of the artists playing was no more or no less than the previous weeks...! But the 'energy'....the 'vibe'.... like nothing that has gone in the Rex before..!!!
The spread of music accross the spectrum was great.. for me (I got there 11:45pm) it was 'stomping French Bamboo','Twisted Funky Alchemy', 'Deep, hypnotic xdreamism', finishing with 'Bouncy British Fun'..!!!...
The light show was the best i have ever seen indoors in England .! those guys were 'hard wired' to the music.. 'SPOT ON' all night!(is it the same guys as all rex parties?) The numbers inside was perfect (all promoters should cap their capacity in the Rex to Azuma's turn out.. no more no less..!.. think of us dancers..!!) the decor was unreal... Davi et al seemed to take a diferent approach and it just did not feel like being indoors in the Rex.!!!I loved the giant mushrooms on the stage ...they seemed to create an 'outdoor fluffy vibe'... indoors.. there was just no 'darkness' anywhere in the party at all.!!! fantastic vibe.!
Musicaly it was so 'varied' (boredom was nil...) and while I had no favourite..(oh all right... Shane you're still my hero ) the highlight for me was Cosmosis Billy's sound production... unbeleivable..!
"When i grow up i wanna have a sound production like Billy" )
Overall this party was 'Ledgendary'..! ..... Why was this party infinatley better than what has been before?"... in my opinion..... ... "The 'energy' and 'vibrations' of the people involved in making the party is always 'picked up on', 'absorbed' and 'projected' back out by the people attending".!...Now go figure....
Boom.

hoho i must agree with my colleagues about this party....... it was a totally ludicrous night! For me at least it was a pretty much perfect party. I go out to these things to dig around and there was plenty of room for that. I was worried at first about the sound system cos it seemed a bit quiet, but I think they turned up the volume later.

First DJ was Shahara and I enjoyed his set. But like asi I prefer a more proggy start (Simo the week before was perfect for me).

I didnt like bamboo forest much (please dont shoot me for this).... i am sorry but it was the vocal bits.... just not my cup of mushroom chai..... in fact i was worried that it was all my fault, that I had overdone it by coming to the rex too much.

however, the rest of the evening proved me TOTALLY WRONG!!! Shane was awesome as per:) X-dream destroyed me. Only the best from Irritant including my favourite thorazin which nearly made my ears bleed, next to total classics like rmx of E-Rection 'out here we're stoned' Yeah i was wigging out by this point.

[Hmm..... mental note: when naming act, do not choose name like 'e-rection'.... ]

Then billy came on and it was even better than his set at liquid connective! those funky synth riffs had me jumping round like a lunatic.....

anyway i spent the whole night back and forth between the dance floor (for limb flailing action) and the bar area for more digging and meeting pals. I was happy cos loads of pals came along: new and old friends from london, but also people from further afield e.g. Manchester and Bristol hoorah!

anyway i hope it's ok me going on: i know rob and asi have already reviewed the night very well but i think it's nice to hear different people's views.....

like rob i enjoyed the mushrooms on stage. The one on the left was sillouetted (sp???) in the lights and looked really sinister... in a very good way:)

i think these parties have been getting better each week at the rex... last week was ace and i was expecting azuma to be similar, but in fact it was much better!

Hehe the laser summed it up: last week we were all commenting on how we were staring at the laser. This week it was back, but there were TWO!

Good lineup, great decos, excellent lights&laser-show, very pleasant situation - vibe and people were among the best so far for this autumn.

My only disappointment was to hear Bamboo Forest so early during the night - i thought it was the best of the three lives, with x-dream being the second best ('psychomachine' and 'out here we are stoned' are great every time, though i would've preferred their live to have been in Bamboo Forest's slot).

ciao's to andreas, shane&vicky, monasticsquid, tom, etc...

Damn I missed this party..I was stucked in Sheffield...so what about tracks from the last album of X-Dream? Did they played tracks like Thorazin-Universal chaos etc..?
Even if they didnt, I am sure that was a killer live with great production as always!
Well done guys!!

this was my first time at the Rex, and I had a wicked night. SPACE TO DANCE! *yay*

As above, X-Dream were amazing, I think I wore out my stomping shoes. Had a blinding time...and it was lovely meeting up with you guys.

*Note to self - try and make it down to london more regularly*

great party, great vibe

i particularly enjoyed x-dream as they were not at all what i expected them to be.. when they played e-rection.. whilst i wasn't flying like asi.. i was at least ready for take off ...

the forest of bamboo sounded pretty crisp to me and then shane played a typically storming hour and one half.. it was set perfectly for the x-dream, whose live was so good that after 5 years i might finally forgive them the awful pun in their name... then the best of british to take us to the end.. such a shame it wasn't 10:30am on a nice summers morning but you can't have everything.. and billy got to finish with his ludicrous also spake zarabladibla tune.. made me smile for sure..

nice to see lots of you there now we get (at least) a week off the rex i think...           >>love will tear us apart...<<
