Dear all,

After listening once again the "Radio" album ...I was wondering..."Is this a new release"?

Of course I do know that was released back on 1998 (I own it since the begining) but still sounds fresh, new and ready to make your hips bounce . . .

What is your opinion on this?

Have fun

xdream creations were outstanding exactly before this shitradio,
psytrance ,gothic, indus, minimal, prog full on , morning etc.......just bullshit.
the best creations of xdream and the trance scene were exactly at this period that u call goa.there is the real spirituality brought buy a just equilibrium betwenn hypnotic bassline and th right mesure of melodies and touches of indianism.
those times are gone but the perfection of those creations are still here.
easy to make tek, easy to make full on, but not so easy to express beauty and harmony through electronic sounds and tecno beats.
the old goa scene managed to do that.
radio album is the exact start of bullshit in xdream creation.

Radio was great, period. That was the exact time X-Dream was at their peak. Don't care much for the stuff they made after that. Radio started a bassline revolution in psytrance as well...           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

Ajna actually has a point in what she / he said..

Radio was revolutionary album at its time. It combine super phat sound ( comparing to releases even few years later ) and a lot of psychedelia that many tried to copy later but not so successful.

The only thing that everyone managed to copy is the killllllargh bassline that throbbing thing that till that album wasnt that dominant in world of Goa trance.

So, since everyone managed to copy the BASSLINE ofcourse it is possible to say that Radio was a beginning of a disaster, because in the years to come, no one gave a rotten shise about the MUSIC that was in Radio.. Everyone was after that mean ground breaking bassline.

Since then it is all about the kick bass ( in most cases ofcourse - there are still super good musicians out there )

Don't think he/she ment it was the beginnig of a disaster,
Imo it seems like he/she saying it's plane SHIT.

Many things have been copied in all geners of music but we wouldn't call the origin it came from shit or would say it casued a disaster, We should be thankful these talented musicians that are out there working their ass off to get to these levels of creativity & quality creation.

Yuli u have a point about xdream, in the sense that their basslines were heavily copied, but ajna said

"radio album is the exact start of bullshit in xdream creation."

he talked about xdream's music, not psy as a whole...
at least that's what his sentence means, maybe he meant smthg else...

RADIO is a masterpiece and it sounds innovative till now.I don't think that X-DREAM are responsible for the crap we are listening today. To be honest i was never paying so much attention to the bassline of that album. Now if u want to discuss about their new club sound that is another story.           Dance For Paradise!

I agree on that.

X-Dream did the difference back on 1998 (with the Radio album) and now X-dream still can be distinguished (We Interface album). You may like their music/sound or not! But for sure this Duo had and has the courage to go further the standards, to experiment a lot and to deliver us always something new!
Something unexpected!
Radio was just like that!UNEXPECTED!
When in 1998 everybody had the same approach to the "psy/goa trance", X-Dream Re-immagined and diversified themselves from the rest...

My point here is not if somebody likes their music or not....but the simple fact that the Radio is still ahead compared to the standard "psy" productions of today. PERIOD !

Best Regards

X-Dream pioneered most of the changes throughout this scene, back in the early dayd with tracks like "The Second Room (A Trip)" and "Panic In Paradise" then redifining themselves with Radio... they pushed through with some of the most psychedellic and original techno with "Irritant"... to this day "Universal Chaos" is guarenteed to knock the socks of nay tripper outdoors with a big system... there last album left a bit to be desired by many fans of traditional trance but personally I found it to be very fresh and original, I think the techtrance style from these lads and Midi Miliz and their many side projects are much more psychedellic and trance like than most full on and progressive... "Radio" is something special and to be treasured, and along with The Delta's "Schizoeffective" pioneered a new wave of heavy trancey tech music
