I believe that there`s one explaination about X-Dream, their sound and their ideas...

They are always "one step ahead..."

I agree ... When i met Jan i realised, why they are so infront of time. Outstanding perspective on music. I am only goin' to tell u, that X Dream will stil rocks the scene for many years from now. Just the question is what scene, trance, techno, electro, break beat ... That is what makes this project one of the best ever, their music is way over one pattern, one music, one genre ...           myspace.com/audionova

I suggest u to listen the track Johann - Standed (The Delta remix). This track released 1997 if I am not mistaken!Watch out its bassline! This bassline is similar to nowdays full on psy - trance! The guys are many years in front of the most others in our scene! But many people can't realize that because they are not open to other music genres and they are stucked at full on the last 3 years! Why this is happening? What's the reason of that problem?           www.myspace.com/tasos_notrea

Dear Tasos_NOtrea,

I suppose that this is happening because this scene ("psyscene"), last years has been saturated and invaded by a lot of people ("artists") with a low cultural level!
Attention, I don't want to offend anybody over here, this is just a fact! Nothing more.

Music is a form of art, and the musicians are artists as well, but what is released today I have the feeling that there is not any kind of artistic expression at all!

best regards

I have the same feeling man! When I say something "bad" for the nowadays "trance" everyone often tell me that this is a matter of taste and blah blah!I don't think that this has to do with the matter of taste but with the matter of quality and non quality...           www.myspace.com/tasos_notrea

And I think this is narrowminded on the border of racism.

Radio was a nice album - but not more than that. The defining point of 'psy' as opposed to 'goa' was Hallucinogen's Twisted, from 1995, which was the first move away from the goa sound into 'pure' psy. Radio was part of the big 'move to full-on' wave of '97, along with acts like GMS and Psychopod, but full-on wasn't really my thing even back then (not that I don't enjoy a blasting full-on set once in a while). This album's strength is in it's usage of sound and structures for dancefloor purposes, and as such, this album is definately one of the best releases ever.

X-Dream's peak as far as I'm concerned is The Delta's Send In Send Back, which IMO is as big a leap into techtrance as Radio was into full-on, only with a musical style I enjoy more.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

Well, I am sorry, but I don't really agree on that....
I would never defined "Radio" as a "move to Full on" album. Specially with the today's standards!

Lol from radio borned the techtrance and the first standarts of progressive psy trance! Then Atmos inspired from radio and created the first progressive waves of trance!Full on came only from GMS who they made a lot of money from that..And because their style is to easy to be copied and pasted the most projects nowdays are sounding like them and like astrix..And believe me the evolution of their music are not in their purposes!           www.myspace.com/tasos_notrea

I agree with u fully Dot Kite, neither it was intended i believe. The only semi 'full on' track in Radio was number 4 in my opinion.

But the bassline was the beginning of full on Era. Check it well - the kik bass structure in Radio was second to none in 1997 when it was released. The thing is most of the tracks were 1 year old at least at the time it was released.           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman

X-Dream are the fathers of todays full on its a fact.
And still all top artists are watching carefully what X-Dream are up to today.
Hallucinogen, X-Dream and Juno Reactor been most inspiring bands in GOA and psy trance scene everybody copying them still even today.
Radio is all time favorites album for me and i still listening to it same like for the previoous and last album of this super gem.
They are the First and They are the last!

IMHO when radio came out it was publicised it would be a new style of trance called psy techno. A definite change departing from the goa styled music. For me the album was great. I loved the remix on the single by DDD.

Also i think they influeced one side of the psy scene, but we have all the 3dvision artists who took it to another place... as Spirit Zone with Tales from the dark forest... or spiral trax with the prograssive style. This for me were the beginnings of a reaction against how music was arranged and an attempt to think outside our boxed scene and be open to be re-influenced by other genres of music.
