Well, i can't say a bad word about the way optimi~ got in because i did it too a few times... but there is one fact on his side- when you go to a BIG party, you don't know how it is untill you get in, it can be a shitty party (example: beit oved-independence day- 120 nis NOT well spent), but it can also be great (like this one was:)) so i don't see it to be SO bad like you do grannie.

I also think this way because of all the parties i payed to get in and were closed by the cops an hour later (used to happen A LOT a few years ago), so i still have some bad memories... :(

Actually it's not bad at all..

Look at it -

There was a party, very good one, the organizers made a buchta
Young man just burst his way inside, he laughed at everyone and enjoyed and wasn't cought.

There was a wedding hall in Jerusalem.

Ain't u ppl get it??? in the long run it's much better to b good - not for some stupid and annoying Grannie but for yourself - and if not for yourself then for the sake that what happened in that wedding hall, and in that Yarkon bridge some years ago, and in Maccabee Haifa last game of the season wont happen again.

Capish?

you're right, Grannie but the sad truth is that thing like that happen and will continue to happen all the time.

saving money and being cheap asses is a part of our israeli culture and there's nothing we can do about it.

so when it comes to parties - ppl will continue and try to burst into parties just the same way many orgenisers will continue to charge 100+nis for a party whilst they save money and rent the cheapest generator that dies every 10mins...

As for the price:
I bought a ticket in pre-sale and it cost 100NIS
which is not too bad... (the regular price for parties) and I didn't have to stand in line...
As for the party, IMO GMS gave a great set.

Grannie, please explain the connection between bursting into parties and the horrible disaster in Versai? I just dont get it.
I went with 3 friends who are soldiers, who guard our asses while we sleep, they did not have enough money, and I assure you that they are the biggest fans of GMS / X-dream out there... they had only 100 nis... from my experience with the octopus parties, the organizers are GREEDY motherfuckers, I went to Suzuki's party about 2 - 3 weeks ago with one of those friends... I had 120 nis, he had 115 nis. the party costed 120 nis, the girl in the ticket box DID NOT agree to give us a 5 nis discount, at that point the organizers karma vs our karma was 0:1  from my point of view, I DID NOT THINK ABOUT THIS INCIDENT when I got in... the only thought I had was that 140 nis is too much for us, and by the way , whoever referred to 'Israeli culture' out there... I advise his wiseass to stop petronizing. after all this is Isratrance, and our roots CAN NOT be blurred, Believe me, I'm in Manchester right now.

OptimystiQue, i see grannies' point and i believe that if you'll think about it for a while you'll see her (/his?) point too.
Little things like bursting into clubs and climbing on fences just to save a few measly dollars/shekels doesn't pay off on the long run...
you could have been easyly caught and even beat up by the guards (and you probably know that sometimes they just look for a reason to do so), was it worth it then? if you would have been caught? think about it...
and what if everybody was like you? (like grannie said) how would the party organizers pay the artists?

this is not a very good example but here it goes: there was a soccer game in haifa about a week ago, at the end of the game the fans wanted to go into the field and celebrate with the players. ppl started pushing each other into the fences so the police would let them go in the field, the police didn't, and ppl got squashed, couldn't breath, and some kids were hurt... and ppl only wanted to celebrate...

the point is: sometimes breaking the rules (even if they seem stupid) can cause a big damage, and it all starts with our basic behaviour. (like going into a party for this matter).

i hope you take all of this with good spirit, i didn't mean to criticise you or anyone else, it's just that grannie here gave me something to think about.

Respect. :)
