I went to this party yesterday (sunday) with x-dream and GMS at the octopus.

well, i got there at about 1:30 and banzi was dj'ing, some kind of psychedelic music, nothing special, even a little clubby.
at about 2:00/2:15 markus (x-dream/delta) replaced him and gave a brilliant (imho) 3 hours set, night music, very hard, he started with minimal stuff and built up the set to more powerfull stuff but he kept a certain level, not letting the bpm going too high:) one of the best sets i've ever heard (and seen, i love the way he communicates with the crowd).
at 5:00 GMS gave their live set, as expected- full on music the GMS style.
at about 6:00 banzi started dj'ing again and took down the bpm slowly and the party was pumping again...
i left at about 8:00 while markus was dj'ing a nice morning set.
well the octopus club is really nice, great sound, and there were nice ppl there, not all tranceheadz but not blaganistim if you know what i mean...:)
All in all a very good party and a particular set that i'll remember for a long time...:)
the only bad thing about this party was the price: 140 NIS WTF??? (about 35$- very expensive comparing to other partys).

anybody else been there? reviews please! :)

Yes. a great party indeed, Too bad you guys payed... I found my way inside quite fast.
This was a true commercial party.... Redbull + Vokda = 37 nis, Entrance 140, and more people then the place is suppose to hold. I danced on the sand aswell (sand + rocks) but not because I had a choice, but because the "Main dancefloors" were STUFFED with sweaty-human-diggers.  Oh yeah, and another unmentioned fact - the gorgeus babes... That was a great change... I think it was like 50% boys - 50% girls

140 shekels is quite steep... and I suppose you had to leave tents and bottles of water behind you... was there a discount to people who bought their tickets in advance????

I think a ticket in advance cost about 120 NIS.

about the babes, indeed many girls in that party, a refreshing change:)

and about the track by GMS, they played a few, which one you mean?

p.s.- optimystiQue, how did you get in? through a friend or a different "kombina"?

did they do any problems with the age, or selection?
(the age and price were my reasons for not going there)

you have to be a little more specific cause you described all their tracks now. :) :)

or maybe you mean the Systembusters - Star Wars track?
the one that has the starwars theme at the middle of it.. (bleh..)

np: children of dub - waves of dub

It wasn't starwars, they didn't play that. i don't know which one you mean pulsar user... sorry.

Alon, about the age and the selection- it wasn't a big problem, i personally got in right away with the help of a friend, about others i really don't know, there was a big line to get in and "reshimat muzmanim" and shit like that but i don't think it was a problem because of the ppl that were in the party, i saw many ppl i know that are 19 and even 18 years old.

I got in quite easily... I saw the long line of people waiting and sweating just to pay the 140 nis and get inside which looked kinda pathetic for me... So, I quickly FREAKED OUT, and started searching for the 3rd entrance... (1st entrance was the Selection / TicketBox, 2nd was People who bought tickets ahead) I found a spot between the 102 - Octopus where there's a passage with guards behind it... so I walked fast through the passage... and when I saw the guards there, I just ran into the party.

TALK ABOUT GREAT ENTRANCE

OptimistiQue,

I must say that I ain't with u in this one.. ;-)

I believe that if there is a party which is overpriced for my standards, I just wont go there. To get in like this is quite weird.. Again - in the COMBINA land we can call u GEVER ( A MAN ) but hey I see in it only what's there.

Someone made some party, set the rules, u came set your own rules and give a shit and a half about anything besides u. ;-)

If everyone would b like u it would b real bad, don't u think so, Optimi?

One more thing... That is almost EXACTLY what the arsim in the Oma Coma in the north did just run into the security and past it...

So the final question ---

U like X-Dream and GMS??
No doubt X-Dream are a super group in trance and stand out in this genre like say Deep Purple in Heavy Rock so why not to pay?

The Octopus is quite an expensive place to rent, the bands cost much money to bring and there are many expenses as well..

It would b nice if all of us would help each other instead of making trouble to each other....

PPL LOOK AROUND U, MAYBE WE LEARN SOMETHING FROM WHAT IS GOING ON IN OUR COUNTRY ;-)
