my favorites are :

Track 3 : A team , intelligent and powerfull track , with sample of saxophone....a real blaster

Track 8 : Rhapsodie , linear track with finest touch of antidote , i like a lot acid leads who made a real groove on this track , so funky !!!!!

Track 10 : The rmx of underworld - born sleepy is a must for ears , very good production with this dark groovy atmosfear....in the middle of the track when the kick restart after the break , pfff it's totally groove !!! and at the end analog synth 's very interesting....great work

Sorry but i don't like so much the rest of the album...but i m sure that his production is amazing for sure !!!           All I need is beautiful melodies...

This Brazilian prodigy has been involved in some of the most memorable full on releases the last 3 years – from his own debut album "Blink" to massive partyhits like "Mind Stuck", memorable collaborations with artists like Star-X and Dual Head/Pixel/Domestic and a massive remix of Sub6 and Pixels "One Shot". Only 6 months ago he even released the beautiful progressive "Electra" with subtle goa-influences, so my expectations for his second album where enormous – unfortunately they weren’t fulfilled.

My impression is that the Spun-sound has been a bad influence on him– the focus in a lot of the tracks is on those fast GMS-trademark squeaky hands in the air melodies, while I miss the rougher, deeper sound and more subtle melodic-work from his earlier releases. Don’t get me wrong though, I like a lot of the material from GMS and Spun in general and neither of the tracks here are pure garbage – but it wasn’t nearly as good as expected from one of my favourite full on artists.

It isn’t all bad though – there are a few very noteworthy highlights, like the Panick collaboration "Spotless Mind", which resembles some of his best work from 2003 and 2004 - and of course the fantastic remix of Underworlds immortal classic "Born Slippy" – a remix that was the definite highlight of the entire VooV Experience 2003 for me, and I'm happy to finally own it.

Those 2 tracks really make the album worth the money, and the dance floor qualities throughout the album are certainly very distinct, so overall the album is well above average - but I was expecting something more...

"expectations are on pillows" - or maybe that only sounds good in hebrew anyway - i was a bit let down by this album - the 1st track is really good but gets a bit boring and unexpressive at the end. track 2 is my fav - i feel panick's atmosphere and for sure his base with that awesome delay on it. again with that track it ends without a strong purpose or point. track 3 is really good until the saxophone part at the end that kinda ruins it for me... i like those vocoded vocals in that track though... track 9 is pretty good, i like the samples in it. i might be the only one that doesnt like the trainspotting rmx...
regardless - the production is one of the best ive ever heard and it makes even a regular kick/base combo never truly poor. i just wish there was more development and more psyness in this. a bit too predictable and em.......boring?
"2nd thought"- is what i feel he did with some of the concepts..... they lack the "balls" i've heard in his previous releases.

on 2nd thought... track 3 grew on me - i dont know what i was complaining about so much... the sax is hardly in there... many other layer are superior in that track. my bad. still i think the panick collab is the most inventive.           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

i had a good long listen last nite..and i found that the idea behind each track was quite visible and honest..but it jes doesnt give any sense of direction..it is full on but without a purpose.....well going back now for a second listen hope there is some improvement..

Well worth the wait and excitement! Really really impressed me and listening to it often! Enjoyed the tracks since most of them are with another artist......albums like these always rock sox!!           :: Life can be as bitter as dragon tears
But whether dragon tears are bitter or sweet
depends entirely on how each man perceives the taste ::
