I feel like this topic calls for another question:

What fusions, twists and or techniques do you think would be favoured by our modern audience in order to keep the bass rolling on big systems and the feet stomping all night?

I almost feel like as a morning-fullon producer i have too look deeper into house, deep house and drumstep, and find an interesting way of incorporating that into my music.

But TBH i really couldn't give less of a shit about any other genre than nice feelgood and evolving morning psy.

I said I like it dirty, not muddy.

You should really just do the music that you love and feel more passionate about, regardless of what's momentarily hitting the charts, or new trends and genres.

So, to my mind your last sentence was actually the best.

If you really enjoy what you're doing, then surely other people will to? Sure not everyone's going to like it, but that's granted no matter what you do, right?

Cheers

This scene is here and kicking... Look all these festivals around the world!

I can say psytrance is one of the stronger scenes in electronic music. Also psytrance isnt only the music, is also many other things.

Best wishes for the summer guys and have fun! Smile and dance           ...into the wild....

A quick google for the thread topic reveals the same question asked.. about 10 years ago And, 10 years later, we are still here

To quote the great Lavoisier, "Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed.".. and the psytrance of the 90's is very different from from 00's, and the same should happen for the 10's and so on We just need to embrace the transformation and push forward.
As long as we have conscious explorers dwelling into the never ending expansion of the mind, there will always be the need to food for thought and keys to unlock the different levels of consciousness and understanding           Super Banana Sauce http://www.soundcloud.com/knocz

Oni, I would say just try to be unique, giving the world something new. Sure checking out those other genres would maybe give some inspiration - but do what you do best. Mess around with stuff and reach new kind of effects, etc.

i.e. If you automate 10 knobs on a synth, each one with different speeds etc, you will always end up with a original sound. Then Automating 10 or so knobs on your effects will do even more. Though there is a limit before it becomes too mangled.

In the end - reaching a sound, no one can re-produce.

" We are together in this matter you and I, closer to death, yes, closer than i'd like. How do you feel? - There can be no division in our actions, or everything is lost. What affects you affects me. "
