perhaps i'm a wee bit biased, but some of our south african artists are making some really original music these days....look at artifakt, damage and broken toy (to name a few) |

Sesto Sento
Mungusid
Nissimyani
Altom
Penta
But almost every artist have an original song or two (or a thousand, like psysex...).

And from South Africa : Arifakt is really different.
Simon Posford, Tristan, Prometheus making the original Twisted style.

ok, I don't know all these new artists, far from it, but anyway : I see people saying "this band is very original, although I don't like them". And I'm wondering : is Trance only about the weirdest sounds ?
I'm just afraid we're leaning toward a "the weidest the best" line.
That's why I'd reformulate the question for myself : who are the most original artists you like best ?
For recent artists (Big Wigs, Sub 6, Panick, Protoculture to name a few) I can hear a lot of original sounds and structures, that I have no problem calling psychedelic, but they don't move me the way a "Dragon Tales" or a "IFO" did for instance.
And it sadened me  : am I too old to experience pleasure with the new Psy sounds ? Time will tell.
