rock was before psytrance too,
we should have a rock section too ?
you gotta have borders on subjects not because they are not interesting or not accepted,
it would be total chaos and impossible to find any decent info using the search...
there are enough alternatives, other forums/sites for non psy...
it has nothing to do with being openminded or not imo,
the sky is the limit,
but the world wide web is already floating into space

in my experience i take a hard stance with non psy music as i changed from house, with ibiza and all that crap, techno with the loveparade and all that crap, then dnb, which i still like, hard house, trance, electro, listening to most of the "top" djs but found nothing takes/took me anywhere near the feeling that psy gives (night music, suomi)/gave (full on, prog, etc )me.......(evolution of species....)
as you say login... styles of music have different sounds, icons, produce different feelings etc......the ones i found in other music....which i was really into listening 24 a day like i do now with....are "forms of expression" that i dont like anymore.......and i dont see how they can result in loss......
it sounds more like a loss to me the fact that boom is opening with 4 different stages......will see what they choose before commenting......!
and i agree with sideffect and zero blade......psyforum....psy talk.....plenty of sites for crap talk...

i would be amazed and shocked if people would even accept new kinds of psytrance here...
psytrance has moved from being a culture of freaks willing to experiment. (and taking loads of acid) to being just another music-defined youth subculture. you are what you listen to you know;)
"i have too much to lose if i start to like other or different kinds of psytrance. i wouldnt be part of the club i am in then"
i would be shocked if i started to see posts that didnt use the words fullon dark progressive electro etc...
if you listen to old psytrance you find much more variety in the music. today its all about being homogenous within a style...
boring and regressive.
it will be better when we are more open minded as we often claim to be...
anyway- whatever happened to all that elevate consciousness spirituality stuff anyway. no need for it anymore? is it passe? |

Another good point in this discussion is that even though psymusic is considered as a form of music that elevates the spirit the discussions in Isra are mainly who is no.1 or who is the best etc few people here discuss ways of improveing the quality of our parties in order to make them more spiritual and more intense story. So time goes by and all our spirituality is now main stream just like every other music psy is now considered as a normal dance culture scene with top ten dj's setups and best live act shit and all, so for people who have a different intention it is difficult to explain yourself because all that people care about is now a killer bassline not the trip of the music.
Many may think that people are radical but imagine yourself trying to explain Psytrance to people who have not passed through it's experience? How do you do that? Impossible in my opinion because you yourself have to find your own spiritual path through this music or any other as long as it takes you on a voyage it's wonderful beautiful music isn't it?

The topic is but the text under no....it relates to the fact that a lot of people has a hard-on attitude on other genres of music in this forum!!!!!
I understand your point of view, Login, but its not all the same movement. Moreover i usually witness this sort of attitude towards the "prophets" of the new musical message.....people who already annouced the death of psy-trance and the rise of the styles you mentioned as the "new" psycadelic music"....

people have and always will be aversive to change....
nothing is dead, its just evolving, many people don't like the shape of evolution but then again they do nothing to help .. no offences:)
coming back to the topic, people are so radical cause they have not just catogorized the music but they have themselves... its not about night, day, twightlight, full on... 
i feel the whole is an experience and in no ways should we try to limit the progression, mistakes will be made, there will be a rise and a fall .. band the new cresent will not be the same as the old, we will never have the past again, but then , ''the past was the future at some point'' which again was hard to accept for many...
hehe n besides the number of mind altering substances that most people who frequent this forum have consumed is another factor for 'Radical' behaviour n thot about life, the universe n everything
