anyway...peopel do not have a big conflict to listen to artists like Yahel and all the stupid (imho) nitzhonot makers.
Yahel makes nice lite trance (and i'm not tolking about the last boring albom of his) and people don't have to "dig it" to enjoy because of the clear
melodies.
same thing is with nitzhonot....the strong melody is bloking the "boom boom umtza umtza" to the minimum.

Don't look for excuses. Did you ever think that people actually don't like this music? Just because the music is not for them? Don't bullshit us about superstitions and feelings and stuff.
You don't like a lot of other genres. Same thing.

yeah really, it's all about taste in the end. why can't you just accept that there are people who don't like trance and that's it? I bet people who are in other scenes say the same about their music: people who don't like dancefloor jazz just don't understand it, that fools! Oh please...

Well, I don't think you guys are giving the average person enough credit. With all due respect, I don't see in which ways GMS is more intelligent than REM or Sting. It's just taste. Some people just don't like trance.
We don't need to glorify ourselves. Listening to trance is special enough.

it's not just the taste..
i really hated any other artists than yahel or infected mushroom when i started to listen to trance music. (yahel & infected - melodic psytrance)
but than i digged tracks of more artists like psysex,blt,astrix,cosma
and i like them a lot now!

I guess it's also because non of the trance artists looks like britney spears and spends 1million dollar on a video like Eminem. And also have their tracks played on the radio, Tv, anywhere you go. Forcing you to believe that this is what you like. Basically a 12 year old kid has no power against MTV or VH1. If MTV will deciede to make trance the new "hot thing"(god forbids) the winner of the 2004 music award will be Infected mushroom or Tiesto. |

Trance is more than people think, because it's not obvious - but then again, neither is Bach, or the Warp Records electronic mafia.
Our music just explores a different space in the mind than other types of music, it offers it's own unique "trance" state of mind. Some people don't understand that. Most people don't try. Some who do, prefer other things (Techno, IDM, DnB, whatever).
Sure trance offers us a lot for a musical experience, but that's because we understand it and like it. Again, a matter of taste, nothing more.
