minimal tech (slow bpm...) vs full on (adrenalin ,fast bpm...) , people comes to parties for ONE specific style mostly !

lots of people don't come to parties anymore because of this blend .

therefore I think parties should be divided for one style in few parties!

one thing is sure , much more people will come to parties when they know what will be there.

what do u think ?
would u like it separated or mixture ?
what if everyone of us will think positive about peace ?

I strongly disagree.

I like Minimal, Prog, and Full on. I think there is a time and place for everything. Especially in the morning I like to hear sets that go up and down, slower and faster, with even some classic goa tracks that will suprise me.

I think this can be done very well if it is a good DJ who knows how to READ THE CROWD.           Both teams played hard

I do it , very well (I think) but still lots of people really hate specific genres !
many people just sitting around and waiting till the morning will come up (some of them leave soon).
if u look a bit in the past , when the party start in 1:00-00:00 , everyone was already there !
was much more fun ,much more people FROM THE START TO END!
even more girls !
this is why lots of people comes just in the morning , or don't come at all.           what if everyone of us will think positive about peace ?

I can't even reply to that cause I just don't understand it. People showing up at a party at 6-7 in the morning? WTF?

What do they do in the "beginning" of the night?           Both teams played hard

if u ever been in out door party , u should recognize that lots of new faces show up in the morning !
lots of people I know go to bars in the night because they don't like low BPM , so they comes just in the morning.

they really like psytrance , but when they comes they hear stuffs that boring for them.
they like dances, not diggings...
and I know too many people who don't go anymore to parties because the don't like half of the party.          what if everyone of us will think positive about peace ?

Why there're so much opsessions between trance genres ? Trying to prove something ? Everybody has different taste.
And i totaly disagree between some separations in genres, every style has its own qualities. And the point is not how high is the bpm !

well I have been to my fair share of nature parties and I have realized that the faces change completely when the sun comes up, but I always thought that it was because:

It's not Dark anymore!

How can you observe and recognize people before the morning comes and you can put on your sunglasses and just look at everyone/everything?           Both teams played hard

Sort of disagree I do enjoy a mixture of all the genres But like post I started earlier its achieving the balance at parties.

If you can put together the right Djs and acts at the right time but also go beyond that and ask the DJ what types of set they would play so you could arranged them perfectly because there have been times when you spect a full on Dj to come in rock it and instead goes totally minimal progressive or something different or vise versa. so that totaly ruins the mood for example at boom I really was excited to see Bim and listen to him play all the treibstoff german techquie stuff his label is known for and he went totally blt alien project astrix it was good but a downer for me because I never get to hear this style where I come from.

Also i never understood why they play
'mostly' prog minmal the first two night and full on the next two so the people who liked full on were sort of bored except for occasional neurotor and than when you wanted to hear a little progressive it was all full on. Big mistake. Dont get mr wrong boom was still amazing epic but it could have been flawless.

So it think it comes down to taking the time to putting the line up together so it flows. But I think is it a big problem so may be why not seperated because promoters are not taking the time to do this. So in a way I do agree.

1. full on party

2.progressive party

3.mixture of progy and full on

where would u go ?          what if everyone of us will think positive about peace ?

Why?
Because they don't want the party to be boring, maybe?
Because they want to tell a story, maybe?
Because they want the party to be also an experience for the mind, maybe?
Because they don't see trance music and culture as something rigid and defined, maybe?
Maybe...           ---------------------------------------------

Not true.
I mean it is true for the forum people, cause 99% of the people here know themselves in music. Everyone in this forum is a little specialist.
BUT, many people I know aren’t even familiar with the terms full on / progressive / minimal.

I like the mixture of the styles. I mean in an outdoor party I like to see the changes in people. People digging to progressive at night, and the “explosion” in the morning.

those people like just full on !
I like mixture , but most of the people like full on all the way long.
talking about people who like parties ,people who not live the trance day by day as we are.

I have to agree with what several people have posted here....

From my experience, people at parties react better to (well-placed) variety. The same people that are dancing to funky tek sounds early in the night will be the same people dancing to full on a few hours later then groovy prog in the morning (or however it progresses). Most parties I have attended where it is a single style for hour upon hour have dancefloors that never really pick up (prog all night) or reach a short peak then tire out fairly fast (full on all night).

A mixture works best.

I don't want to go to a party and hear nothing but full on. Ditto for more prog styles. The best party organizers are the ones that are able to thoughtfully progress the styles of the music throughout the night so that there is consistency and variety.

But this is also partly something the DJs should take into consideration. A thoughtful DJ should somewhat mold their set based on the time of the party and what was being played before them. I have heard some DJs who at 10pm will play the same full-on set they would play at midnight, 3am, 8am, or mid-afternoon. No variation. Diversity is the key here...it allows a DJ to work any time of the night, or any type of dancefloor.
