Why most of Brasilians dont like progressive stile?

I've seen that there are a lot of full on parties without any progressive dj.
I would like to know your oppinion about.

i think that there is a time and a place for all styles at all parties but from a promoters point of view you have to provide the public with what they want to hear. There is no point in doing a party with all progressive if people wont come. But it is also up to the promoters to have a little of everything at their parties to help expose people to other sub-genres.
Personally, i like the progressive style and in Australia often we have full on during the night and morning and then from maybe 11am - end of the party it is more proggressive stuff. This obviously changes from party to party.
The day time is perfect for the progressive sound. |

dj's play what ppl let go crazy and like, ppl don't want to think on the dancefloor they want to forget... imho fullon is very "pesado", strong stuff and its easy to dance on it.
i guess its something changing at the moment. progressive and minimal is getting stronger in brazil, we just have to play the right tracks to convince people that progressive may blow minds off too...

for my opinion both it's really necessary (full on / progressive ) on real party .
there are a part for go crazy and forget and a second part for cleaning your brain and get more relax without agressivity.
the problem in brasil it's on the source. brazilians people like to be crazy ( more that other foreign guys i think ). it's on the nature of thoses people . they want to be crazy and they go on party for that. so promoter will put style for put people high.
that's the problem .... people don't go to listen music and discover new act and new stuff. they go only for doing high jump on the floor .....
when they will change ..... so the progressive will come to brasil easierly.
good luck coz it will be so easy to see progressive appear in brasil.

I believe most parties have space (time) for progressive stuff, but at parties we have mostly DJs that play mainly full on. So organizers should take control and place the right DJs at the right time IMO.
Another point is, like our friend anakis already said, that people want to be as high as possible, and dance as "hard" as possible. Full on style fill better these needs  . When people get too much high, they care less about what they´re hearing as long as it make them jump (or fly).
I believe there is a time of the party (usually from 10:00am to 4:00pm) when the right proggy tracks fits better the ocasion (too much sun to keep dancing to full on all day long. A proggy break is just refreshing  , but maybe I´m just too old style  ).

I think that a lot of full on tracks on our parties it´s a real problem, during the morning doesn´t work, so promoters and dj´s should pay attention and give to us (those that love progressive sound) more dreams playing progrs.
And I agree with Inkubator - some progressive are able to blow a dance floor, it´s just a matter of choose the right sound.

Progressive Songs can ROCK any dance floor... !! its KILLA!
I dont have any idea why we have only full on at our parties... i think a real dj can start his set as a pilot starting a journey (or something like that)... first some real trippy songs ( prog Stuff ) and than start pumping some powerfull dancefloor tracks from the half of his set to the final!!
i guess this works great in the morning hours!!! the ppl on the dancefloor need to save some energy so they can have a true mind experience at the party... not just dance untill his feet are purple...! heheh
Starts with 138bpm and finish with 142 / 144 bpm stuff!!
What do you think isratrancers?

hehe, in my humbled opinion a set can start with 130 and ends with 135... all progressive and some minimal stuff hehe

I guess the party producers here in brasil arent open minded enough. They just put what people tell them will ROCK the party and dont really know Trance (not always of course). Like some full on djs play the same tracks as the last one(and the one before him ) did and the guy who made the party doesnt really care this is actually happening. Another thing is most people also get in contact with full on first, so they think(the rich ones) Im gonna make a full on party.THats why there are so many new full on parties all the time. THe ones who make the prog parties know trance for longer time(in most cases). With time this will hopefully(in my opinion) change cos I dont go to many parties because I know that my Music needs wont be fullfilled.
I also agree that the right progressive can make the full on addicts dance their heads off.

You said all Ozonrevac! I saw the trance scene like a revival of psichedelic 70´s but up grade, trance is not dancing all time, is listening to... Let´s make a progressive moviment! We wanna progressive sound! Hey dj´s don´t be scare to play tracks to someone that wanna listen a realy psy sound! Trance is a "voyage" even your body remains at the same place! Jah vibe to us! |

I think that brazzilian eletronic scene is realy young  and growning up .... so ... is easer to understand full on style than prog stuffs.... Now , for moust brazzilians trancers , the meal is get hi , get strong and listen the song while shrink  .... but wth the time ... the not so young scene will discover that .,., listen a good groovy progress is realy great , f... good and give us the auditive substract for the real trips inside ourselves
