Thank you for the video. Beautiful work. Very good editing.

Now, What if the editor had chosen Christ and his life as the backdrop for this video. I will not say Christianity and Psytrance is interconnected.

Because mantras actually FIT the whole ambience

Hail Mary's wouldn't go down too well would they? Devout Catholics shitting themselves crossing their hearts in time to a beat at confession? Depends on your inclination I guess

The whole Buddhism theme is, as I stated before, a way of creating a flavour that is acceptable to the mind of a trancer and a group as a whole for a good party with nice vibes

I agree. The same reason why these very same religions were connected to hippie movement applies here.
But to be honest, in practice, this was in the past when psy trance was more closely connected to hippie movement. Nowadays only relation are decorations with pictures from Buddhism or Hinduism. Nowadays psy trance is simply party music with hypocrite spiritual values.

why not break it down into simpler modules...

If u listen psy and trip with a piece of mandala for a visual,u will see how buddhistic tradition do miracles..
All about to guide the mind through safer paths and lead it to a state of peace,to help self find ballance in life, while listening to music and meditate.
Enligtened people showed the way for the next generations to follow, buddhism is a basic part of spirituality .
Now we live in 21th century,it is not bad to keep a connection of the past with the future and build our esoteric world while we live our life up on this planet.
Buddhism may open ur mind in a way to see that there is a way path to lift soul in a higher level, and liberate from the bondages of the physical world.
Buddhism is not only intertwined with psy,it is intertwined with much other music styles, and that gives inspiration to people and quality in life.

Why?
- India/Goa, Hippies, LSD.

Good or bad?
- Buddhism isn't a religion pr say, it'smore a way of life, spiritualism and science working together. So I'd say it's damn good!

Quote:
(Albert Einstein)
The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend personal God and avoid dogma and theology. Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity. Buddhism answers this description. If there is any religion that could cope with modern scientific needs it would be Buddhism.

Well it realy depends on what your defination of a religion is. Buddhism as I see it is more a way of life, it has a cosmic and spiritual connection where all is one and a 'i' God doesn't exist because if all are one, you and I and everything are God. A religion for me is more about a holy God, someone or something to worship. I'm an agnostic, I don't believe in one God. What I do believe in is that our energy is connected. Sorry if I'm ignorent and not fully informed tho' All I was saying was that I don't mind Buddhism in psytrance, it is and feels right in every sense (imo).

And I realy like Einstein's quote, dont you?

From observation alone, these things definitely create a definitive ambiance that is special to the psytrance scene. As an atheist, better yet, a-theist (a believer, sometimes in one god, sometimes in many, and sometimes in none) I enjoy making connections and sharing vibes of my own with things that have long shared a unique place with the human spirit. At moments, it becomes as if one dances in an other-wordly place, with other-wordly power. It’s a nice refreshing thing to do. It adds a dimension to these wild parties in the desert and forests that would otherwise leave my body aching upon returning home. Instead the experience is replenishing. If you want to look deeper at things, I would agree that it becomes about the mixing of eastern-western cultures. Is it a hippie thing? A deep desire rooted in western peoples? Who knows. we can only give opinion about this. I would say that yes, it is some kind of desire that unfolds in the small corners of the western culture.. some need to overcome, for me at least, what seems a lifetime of repression from experiencing/knowing nature and the diverse history of our species for bible stories and confessions.           quantum frog, ca
