I realy appreciate your belief but at the same time thats not mean that true . Im sorry .

Achmad from tunisia belive that every time that his goat do 'Me .. ' Something wrong is going to happen .

Lee from china eat an 9 sugar dice a day cause he belive that it will bring him an better and a long life and he we live till 100 .

Louis from france belive that his dog flupi can be the president .

But man .. All this is not facts , Its all in the air , thoughts of maybe ..

But i read here in the head of the topic some one that writing somthing as a fact : "Why is psy trance so intertwined with buddhism" , Who set and determine its true from the beginning ? , There is someone ? Maybe shiva .. ? I dont think so .

Facts man ..

The fact is that my dog name is bell .

The fact is that im working on dual core comp' .

The fact is the moon come at the night time and the sun in the morning .

So my advice and the all point in here for all the peoples in this site , And everywhere (And not only in the musical world - It can be used on everything) Dont take an hazy and ambiguous things as a fact cause writing this "Psy trance so intertwined with buddhism" (As a fact - And with so many confidence and absoluteness) Its realy ridiculous and not serious , (And that is a real fact) .

Ñan you see Magnetic fields, or Electricity, or Radiowaves. No... Is it exist???
BTW I will go to your myspace to hear your trance. It will give me more information about you than this post at Isratrance))). All The best, And for sure I respect your point of view, even If I see things different.

Connecting psytrance with Buddhism is just another attempt to give this music/lifestyle credibility of being something more than just being a form of enjoyment. I don`t see how dancing on acid, enjoying yourself to the maximum in consecutive days/months/years has to do with the buddhist way of living.           SPQR

Someone recently asked me this question and i wasn't able to give a proper answer. Why is it that most hindu Gods and Goddesses are associated with psytrance, for example Shiva, Kali, Krishna, Ganesha and many more. Is it just because hindus worship a lot of deities unlike any other religions? The association of Shiva is very clear and justified. Could someone explain the meaning of association of other hindu dieties with psytrance?

Peace and light.

there was this thread in old india section...
i think jeto started it..(not 2 sure) and after pagesss i think most ppl. agreed that it's essentially about hte mix of eastern n western cultures... freaks + mystical things and new religions..and hence they got merged into trance scene           <~< "the best things in life aren't things" - art buchwald >~>

I agree. The same reason why these very same religions were connected to hippie movement applies here.
But to be honest, in practice, this was in the past when psy trance was more closely connected to hippie movement. Nowadays only relation are decorations with pictures from Buddhism or Hinduism. Nowadays psy trance is simply party music with hypocrite spiritual values.

Agree with Mr. Bender totally.

Psytrancers often describe tripping on acid for two days at a festival as profound religious experience.
While buddhists spend their whole life in trying to achieve a certain state of mind.

Now, somehow I think that a state of mind after being on acid and speed for two days isn't exactly the same as the buddhist's state of mind, don't you think?

Sure 100% right .. Super true ! . You point on a very important thing in here .

I dont use drugs but if some one must taking those exstasy pills and acid liquid 'In the name of the religion and the creed' And just for being a part of or being connected to this kind of music , The psy/trance/dark , So this kind of religion (If there is connection as the guy who open this topic say - I say there is not) are in a very big problam if she holding her believer under an influence .

Any belief and faith must come from an clean place when the spirit and your soul are fresh and pure and sure without any kind of outside illusion instrument , Thats made it inverse , Opposite to our deeply thought .

hindu gods are in fact incarnations, so it's all about altering your consciousness (srry for bad english, forgot how you spell it *stoked*)
that is the one and only link with psytrance and religion IMO.

ps: buddhism is a religion too, it's a western idea that it's a philosophy

exactly.
It used to have a connection with hinduism/ buddhism because of the people travelling in asia that were combining the stuff they heard/saw there with western stuff. People putting mantra's into their music. People putting gods on their deco. Etc. Its the same reason why you can get chai at almost any party now.

Most people that are into partying nowadays didnt get into it the same way. They just heard it through friends and digged the music and the cool 'spiritual' thing. So those hindu pics, signs etc are more a fashion thing now imho than that they'd have anything to do with the music or culture.

Psytrance is just another electronical music genre.

Now, if someone starts making music with quotes from The Holy Bible, will Psy Trance get connected to Christianity? I wonder!

And how many times have this question been asked? Use the Search.
