it's a fact that the more slow the music get the more room there's for playing around with sounds and effects. Fast music tend to become quite stressed and too layered. But it's all about technique and skill!

PS! Most progressive House tend to be around 125-130 not 130-135. That's more in the direction of progressive Trance

Is psyhouse a new term?

i like slow music its more trippy i think, gives me more place to think. i'm speaking about between 80 and 110. i miss slow but still straight 4x4 kick beat psytrance. more of such stuff please!           Anakoluth A Pebble in Your Eardrum's Shoe since 2001!

The beats are made for the music to have a tempo, it's whats happening behind the beats that are important in Goa/psytrance.

slow? Most tracks I have heard was way too fast for my taste. The majority of psytrance and Full On these days are around 140 - 150.. is that too slow?

I think it goes that way. Quick music is for dancing propably, it doesn't need to be detailed too much just danceble and catchy. Slow music is more detailed and well produced because musical talent leaks can be heard much better there when you listen it at home usualy. These who like slow music are home listeners and quick music is for ravers imho. If you listen to both, means you melomaniac.
HandA, are Jerry Bonham, Luke Chable or Infusion progressive trance? Does John Digweed play trance? So BPM has nothing to do with genre imho. House is just more percussion orientated style than melodic which is trance probably.

I think that people who can't dance to fast music are funny! You know you don't have to move to *every* beat right? You can dance at half-time! The best high tempo artist for me is the Nam Shub of Enki / Kiki.Ill.. a lot of the time I find myself dancing at half-time to his sets, then the tempo will change & it's back to dancing to every beat. Then the tempo will speed up again, so back to half-time & so on... it's fun!!! We're not robots!! have some fun. Play around. Live a little.           new Hadal Drop album on the way

if you don't have the last one get in touch
