why do you want fast tracks ?
I dont understand ppl that thinks that 160bpm tracks are cool

The limit for me is 147 after that the only thing you hear is the kick, its just ugly.           Making full-on (specialy with a vb-1) is like playing FIFA in easy mode, you're always sure to win.

Agreed with you sWa, if the bpm goes beyond 150 the sound is just becoming like soup.. Unless you're making some Drum'n'Bass..

I like to shake my ass on a DancefloOr, and not only nod my head just bouncing on place..

147 execly? not even 148? i know one cool track on 149..

actualy its music why do u keep stuck on same bpm ? can someone say whats the rock bpm? or chillout bpm?? it seems stupid that 135-145 is only ok.. hehe even funny... there is so much rythms how can u judge music by bpm? weird... like.. i dont hear anyone talk bout the melodic structure or the groove or m i going to far ? cause as artist i listen to those things not the bpm.. may b thats not what the avrege man can put his finger on...          www.sattelbattle.com

Heheh... back in the late 90s when I was into the tracking scene I was making 170 - 180bpm psychedelic trance of some sort... PSYCORE! played one live PA with that material in 1999 and the reaction was simply = WTF? It was so ridiculous.

I don't think there should be an upper speed limit to psytrance, but then again - fast for the sake of fast can be very irritating.

250 Bpm is Terror, not Hardcore. Hardcore is more like 170/180 Bpm. Anything above that is classified as Terror (fitting name for it anyway). I like my trance around 140 BPM because it just gives the right vibe.

I know for a fact, that Juno Reactor - Master Of The Universe runs with 150bpm. It's hard to mix with that track, cuz it doesn't sound nice when pitched down. But I don't think psy should have too high a bpm. 143-145 is good enough for me.

most psy is between 140-148.

average human heart rate is between 70-75

but each time the heart beats there are actually two beats... so a heart rate of 70 actually means that it makes 140 beats a minute.

maybe there is a link... our internal body bpm and psy bpm match.

@Jehan - when you're dancing your heart beat goes much above 70 bpm

@everyone - The "speed" of the track depends quite a lot on the bassline, the percussions, etc. Not on the actual bpm.
