why i dont see any posts yet for NYE party in athens or christmas or smthing?

hello to everyone!i cant understand how is it possible since i live in the capital of the country(k kala),not to see any happenings with some good names for holidays or any other days of the year?im wondering is it because of the clubs owners or because of the cops or because of the peoples attend...and if all these reasons are true how come they dont stop events in other cities?
so the only option left for me is to go to thessaloniki in every party or to move there so i can save my money from the beggining? 
hihi,im serious and i would like u to inlight me in this,why is this happening and for how long?

A)First of all Athens is the capital of Greece and not kai kala as you said but for sure.Not that this means anything special but just to set the record straight.
B)Secondly just in case you didnt notice we are still one week before the end of November which means that it is very early to post a party that will take place in more than a month than today.
C)What other events in other cities?Do you see another city hosting psy trance parties except Athens and Thesaloniki?And i mean big parties with international guests not just small events with local people.
D)In the last couple of months a lot of artists visited Athens but it seems that your memory doesnt help you a lot,artists like Man With No Name,CPU,Scorb and more.Yes things are not like they used to be but still parties are taking place in Athens.
E)Last but not least Athens is the biggest city in the country and almost half the population leaves here so you can easily figure out that authorities are not as easy as they are probably in other smaller cities where people know each other more or less.
F)Why instead of complaining dont you do something to help our city scene a little bit?Gather your friends,collect some money,find a place and some artists and do something,its not so difficult you know and if your effort is worthy then the people will support you too.
In any case like you said you can always move to another city if you feel that Athens is not a nice place for you anymore.

wow!calm down mate,i got ur point,obviously u didnt get mine!yeah ok athens is the capital we all know that,if smthing was sta skaria we didnt hear anything?one month is long time?son kite is not international and iraklio kritis is a big city?hmm..sure parties with names still happening but in what frequency?"altshimer" hasnt come yet for me and sorry that i dont like scorb or man with no name didnt play as i was expecting him to,i missed cpu.so ur answer to me is that its all authorities fault.nice idea though about the gathering but my only problem is that i must change my friends and find richer ones!or maby i should move to onother planet cause u dont seem to understand..
anyway thank u for ur opinion

Well guess what,something is "sta skaria" but you havent heard anything about it,sorry if i sound a little arrogant but why should you know about it?Each thing at its time kathe pragma ston kairo tou as we say in our country.And yes one month is a very long time,if you ever organise any event you will understand what i mean,sometimes overpromotion is not so good you know.
Yeah right there were something like what 2 parties in Crete this year and another one in Kavala and another one i dont know where exactly.I thought we were talking about more constant attemps here and a series of events not just one time events somewhere around Greece.
Concerning the type of international guests in Athens well if you dont like this one,and you missed the other and that other one that you liked wasnt as good as you expected him to be then its about time you meet some rich friends and start organising your own events so that you can satisfy your special music needs.
And yes authorities is the main problem for not having as many parties in Athens as we used to have some years ago.I mean the first thing that a club owner asks a promoter is what kind of music he promotes and as soon as someone dares to say the word trance (not even psychedelic trance) then suddenly the club is not a welcome place for this kind of music,i dont blame the club owners though,who can blame someone who doesnt want to risk his property and freedom.

We agree 100% that everyone can do it since we have already done it, considering that we are not rich lol
Anyway Psyacoustics will organise a private party with a great artist and a
very good price for the invitation for 200 ppl approximately somewhere in athens the 23 of december.
both you will be invited...

my friend detox i never said i should know about anything,i just started worry if anything will happen here..
i agree that overpromotion is not good but if u want to gather enough people ure not going to wait until last minute when everybody have made their plans for holidays.u know how it is..anyway. thats why i started this topic because i was looking for constant attemps and a series of events in ATHENS..i dont believe my need for music is "special" and u cant say that for sure!as for the authorities ure right and all i can say is "fuck the cops"and like our friends absolut comment,what i really wanted to say is that behind all these reasons maby all of as more or less have crated e negative klima in athens sceene and perhaps as soon as we realise that better for us to save what is left and enter strong and united again cause shitheads and cops and junkies..u find everywhere and u will never get rid off them so what is left is our power and will and offcourse our true love for this music.u think these are enough?

Bah..Not good situation..I'm VERY glad to live at Thessaloniki..
Many parties b4 not only now have start promoted one or two month's before the party..think that this is not overpromotion..as many ppl know about the party much many will come..
So there is no reason to disagree

Guys dont worry about the promotion of any future event in Athens,last years new year event was announced exactly two weeks before the party,on the 17th of December to be exact,and the attendance was something around 1200-1300 people.
The people in Athens are not only hungry for good events but also as typical greeks they organise where to spend their new years eve at the very last moment meaning couple of days before that special night.No need for overpromotion and time,give the people a nice line up in a good place and couple of weeks to talk about it and you got an 100% successful party in terms of attendance at least.
Some years ago Athens was having 2-3 major parties every weekend while Thesaloniki was having just one and now things work vice versa.Things go up and down and who knows maybe in a couple of years the trance scene will be moved out of our country's major cities to somewhere else in a different city or area.

ehm dear detox you will never now what exactly underground is going on in athens, quase at underground partys you can not see sequrity act like cops in salonica wiith the cypriot student...remember
as a matter of fuct,i can not see the reason you must be against undergraund psy scene,undergraund parties at university,underground dark psy music,underground small-venue parties...
you r very well known and respected,so i friendly advise you to continue your good try in your fields, organize more parties,bigger ones,with international guests and human condition if it s posible,and let the others do it there own way...

Unfortunately what ever music gets mainstream it eventually dies (especially in Greece),that happened to psy.What a shame that even if a big event comes up as you said above , the attendance will not be more then 1000 people . And what kind of people................. |
