It has been this way for big events for some years now... But you still can find good ""underground"" parties here and there, so no problem.
This situation is sort of ironic. People like to put labels on things, even though there are basically only two categories of music : the one we like, the one we don't. In general, it seems artists don't like to have their artistic creations categorized either. They create the music they feel like making, period.
This is the medium level (record labels, party organizers) which is taking advantage of this bad categorizing habit. Maybe one day we'll see a "Dark Progressive Deep Psychedelic Trance Music Festival". Some we'll go there and say : "I've been screwed ! The artists played Dark Minimal Deep Trance !". Return to sender...
In brief, don't bother about labels, and concentrate on the artist production, as helen advised.

ehehehehe i do not know why you promote Kemichal so much for me his music does not at all hit my hearth it's just like a bunch of sounds in a track no melodies at all! Music is melody how can we listen to music that has no melody? so Xazy i do agree with you on somethings but still for me i prefer to listen to space cat, star-x, silicon sound, Atomic pulse, frequency surfer and many more

no there is no maybe i am sure that that music does not make me dance and i do not care what other people think i do not follow the crowd i follow my hearth my friend, i follow my soul not other people! Boom hope you understand that i have nothing against anyone it's just an opinion...

Rachel, I dig ye totaly - who's anyone to tell the creator what to create? telling them to create only 'quality, artistic music' is as bad as telling them to create kitch - let them do whatever they want, if you think you can do better, do so - boom shankar for you, and respect for them.
Xazy, remember that psychodelia is different for different people. Some find even Metalica to be psychodelic, although in a different way than pink floyd, for sure. Psychodelia is a state of mind that differs from mind to mind, and is subjective to each and everyone of us. Something you might find psychodelic might be totaly straight or even simple noise to others. It works both ways, you know...
I think that labeling the music is mostly done by you - the listener. YOU are the one who said this or that music is crap, yet you keep finding good tracks from every 'cheezy' artist here and there (Infected, Space Cat, . Stop labeling the artists and start listening to their music - I'm sure you can find good quality productions from everybody, even if they are doing 100% same material.
For me personaly, the music termed "Full On" is as psychodelic as house, dub, reggae, dance, hip-hop or classical - hence it cannot be termed 'psy-trance' in the normal, 'tranditional' manner. Its more "uplifting dance music with goa-trance motifs", and personally I find progressive house like Export Audio, Nukem, PAnoptic or Satoshi Tomiie to be much more 'psychodelic' than this.
And by arguing about 'yes space cat - no space cat', again you're arguing about point of taste, which is useless. Some like it, some don't. Look at the KemicAl example - you both see music the same yet on this specific artist you differ completely. For one of you it is brilliant and for the other its crap. who knows?

Rachel i am sorry but he who has the ears to here good music can tell very easily which track is the real good...Let me tell you an example when me and my friends listen to a new album we all agree which track is the best or if it's just a good track or if it's not even a track ehehehehe i mean this is because we are at the same level! When we mention space cat or star-x or whatever good artists people who have a good ear to music won't tell me that they are not good but they will enjoy that i mentioned them! there is only 1 good music the rest is just sounds! I do not expect you to understand but at least i tried cause it's very complicated to get to listening to music the way we listen to it for me it's everything it's not just music it's another world...

Again, I don't dig full on so much either, but I believe it is at least keeping the spirit of joy, happyness and unity that we all experienced back then - unlike some new directions that are completely missing the point of goa-psy-trance...
