it seems the general preferences dont reflect the demographics ive seen at large.

just curious.

moderators- can we start a poll?

a poll about how involved in parties or his/her local scene an isramember is?

thanks

Care to elaborate what lead you to that conclusion?           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

+1

lot's of variables, to many imo

- international forum
- some countries have more parties then others
- going out to goa parties comes and goes like everything in life
- different ages
- and many more...           http://www.last.fm/user/LastFmKoen

imho the the world has changed, the people are different... the music is another factor but it's very subjective and sensitive issue to be discussed here as the users in this international forum are having different tastes for trance

I am right in the center of europe in between 3 countries... but there aint no party close by...

Nothing happens in Spain... Neither in France ´cept Paris.

Closest is 8-9 hrs drive to Portugal

Which happens once a month.

you all need to check out Koh Phangan... one party a week at least... with an all day after party for each one. All with the good old vibe, a gorgeous island to explore, lots of beautiful people, tasty & spicy food, super energy... and with the anti drug policies in Thailand its not about who can binge the longest... just dance baby dance

Am sorta Geographically Disabled too out here in Kolkata. Only one party every couple of months and have to fly to get there too... learnt to be more patient and open to all subgenres as a result.

Unfortunatly the country i moved last year is a non-psy country.....Suffer!!!!!!

But i have to say that i was deeply involved with the scene before....Though also "good" gatherings are not so common nowadays amd i hate the vibe in the "gansta-psy" parties : tunning cars, caps, pit-bulls and the "hey man do you wanna buy extacsy or coke"...

Moreover, with a few execeptions, i dont like going to clubs for a psy-trance partie...especially in big cities!!!! Dont capture the energy there.....

Belgium is a very small country
and we have parties every weekend,
many times have happened with the intension of just going to a bar having a drink,
and after 4 hours arriving @ a goa/psy party without knowing it was a goa party...

so,

should I call that luxury ?

my last party was September 2007, and before that 2 parties on the woods only with some friends.
probably the next one will be boom 2008..so i do spend a lot of time without going to parties..but i really don´t feel that hunger for parties anymore..if i go to one party in one year and i am satisfied, why do i need more?

i rather go to one party during a whole year and have a real nice time, that go to 200 parties and don´t enjoy any.

is it really necessary to goto parties?           the problem with valuing art is, till u dont understand it, it's worthless but wen u do understand it, it's priceless!!

... also the popularity of the good parties are bringing police and all this is destroying the good spirit around being searched like you are a criminal ...           ---

I personally dont think its necessary to attend an outdoor party every once in a while to appreciate psytrance. We can simply gather a group of like minded friends and play some good psytrance and call it a day! Cant we? It all depends on which country you are from and how well the scene is supported and known in your country...

@Ocelot : My last party was, the day you played at Flames (Bangalore)... I was the one taking those snaps... hehe!           Om Trayambakam Yajaamahe
