why do everyone like more of morning cheez &electro break funk here more than the dark night mus

jus curious bout why most of the people prefer more of full on morning and electro funk here more than the night music.i was wondering bout this topic coz i see a majority of morning and electro funk or "weird" (wateva u guys call it , it sux)artist play in festivals and gigs than the few dark artist.
for example rainbow had very few dark artist this time and people were really wanting more of dat stuff while the cheezy stuff was on all the time.....
Freakreatiion had a good lineup of night music.......
we need more dark artist in melbourne......
the likes of Dark nebula & pondscum plz do some gigs soon......
the last dark artist was electrypnose . Guys try to bring in some Disco Valley Records boys here in .....the likes of Theo, Dark Elf , Double Trouble, and i would love some bhooteshwara guys too Blisargon Demogorgon and others.... hook it up man enuff of the boring cheezy stuff.....

any way
i think its great to hear at partys electro breaks and lotsa funky music happy music what im not hearing in israel..
and btw: freakreation was most of it night "dark" music or how u can call it.
beside haltya and shagga i dident hear any funky music to be honest or was few and i dident saw them

While music its original and artistic I like it.
I can enjoy ticon and ocelot.
people is diverse you know? everyone has different tastes.
I dont like too much dark cause its my personal taste, I wont say it sucks, in fact there is some really good music in that genre.
I like prog like ticon or sonkite, but there is a lot of crap theses days tooo.
And for full on.. well there still a number of good projects but most of it its crap.
if you talk about astrix well, i support you, but if its 7 am I dont want to listen to dark.

Its jus not my opnion broda... its the opinion of high BPM lovers which are in lot these days so i reckon u should get ur pen out and get ur calculations right...
and BTW Haltya was playing some nice night music tunes other than electro funk or weird or wateva u call it again ...hehe....

The reason there is not many live artists playing night-time sets is because alot of the time the sound system is not able to be as loud as it should be at night because of complaining neighbours at alot of parties.
Also you have to face the reality that mostly here the vibe is day-time music most people at parties will goto sleep at midnight and then wake up for the morning music at 6am. That is just the reality of the situation.
Of course there is some exceptions with artists like Electrypnose, Tsabeat, G.O.W, Jahbo, Kindzadza, Procs getting booked for sets in the country however it is a real risk alot of the time for the promoters. They rarely get booked for many other parties.
So really the reality of the situation is that whenever a good night-time artist has been booked for a tour it is because everybody loves them so much that they are willing to fork out the $$$$ it costs to bring them from europe or israel.
There are quite a few Night-time DJ's (When I DJ as mesq it is mostly night-time tunes) who are really representing the psychedelic night-time vibe and trying to get the vibe out slowly slowly that there is intelligent night-time music...
Also you have to except that at a festival like rainbow serpent you will just not get this type of music. Forget it.
So you see... you can complain all you want about this but there are many factors involved in why there is not enough night-time music getting played. Saying that all the morning music is cheezy and crap doesn't win you any sympathy with anybody.
If you want to tour an artist how about putting your money where your mouth is and showing us what music you like... see how hard it is to organise a tour for a dark night-time artist.
I also love kindzadza madness but definitely not at 7am. There is a time and a place... |

complaining neighbours ??? well partees are done outskirts to the city and far away from civilization... if that isnt the case no dark artist can survive round in dis country i guess coz the are always sneaky neighbours around ...hehe
Ok issue bout people crashing at around 12 am and wakin up at 6.....woo this not a military camp man comon....after all everybody comes to dance and have sum fun..
People need a reality check then....well but i ve seen people here on full power the whole night dancing away to glory.....
talking bout Sympathy hehe...soory aint lookin for it....but the fact reamins the same to me....it sux....
Organizing gigs i have had my ups and downs in it....so jus easing out at de moment hehe....i ve lost and gained lots from it...
but at de moment jus let it be... i ll have to live wid the morning music and the funky cheezy stuff....
kindzadza can be fun at 7am dude ...trust me on this....hehe....well u can atleast try right??
dude u say u play night music sets...u can do something bout it coz u got the contacts and if motivation is wat u lookin for then think bout kindzadza at 7 am hehe.

I get what you are saying mate..Mr Mojorising.
But really it's just different. Most people are into morning/daytime party here. Sure there are some people who really get into night-time music. But it is few and far between... good luck on your mission... It's a tough one. |

Night music in Australia is somewhat regional, but it's also about the organiser and how the party is programmed too.
IMO, and i rate this true not just of Australian parties, 'dark' djs and artists are too often put on in inappropriate orders / wrong times, there's no real journey bringing people into the right headspace to help them understand the music, etc.
There's also a fair number of 'dark' djs who just have no idea about journey too and have too muchof an emphasis on being as hard and banging as possible, but of the Aussie dark djs ive heard, Australia is above average when it comes to quality. But the one who just play 'hits' or lack taking people somewhere with the music are just as damaging to the style.
To me I got into doofs when psytrance parties involved psytrance the whole way through and you had your night music and day music, there wasn't really this division that exists today, and people generally got into what was playing day or night.
Because they didn't decide to take granny naps at night as has become too often these days, they actually got to hear what was played rather than just dismiss it outright (open minded anyone?), and as a result a party was the experience of going through the dark of night to the uplifting sounds of the morning, providing balance. But that's then and this is now.
I put on two club nights in Sydney which helped demonstrate to people that night music doesn't have to be a dirty word, and can actually be intellegent psychedelic music, this commentary coming from fans of full on and progressive speaks volumes to me.
So it is my belief if you provide a doof which caters for peoples varied tastes, has an intelligent journey, and the likes you'll find more than a few converts. But that said, you first have to get them to the party to even experience it in the first place, and that's a seperate challenge in itself

well i guess that xplains it all Wolf......
IMO the people here are more into the cheezy stuff more than the hardcore scary night stuff so even if its a good night time artist or a dj up in dat console and they see people not enjoying the style then its jus not the case of the djs or artists screwing it up .
the goa gil gig in sydney last year sometime b4 the newyears was a victim of this..... the GURU of night music was sending it hardcore, people couldnt digest his style......
but everybody seems to have an exra bit of energy for the cheezy stuff ...hehe WEIRD.....
