why "DARK"???!!!

the point is that if you named something dark it became dark in that moment. it doesnt metter if you realy dont mind exactly this meaning. it was a joke? great. but it is not joke now. we all can say that it is not realy dark... or it was named dark to express it special psychedelic feeling... and so on... but you cant avoid this word nature (cant say it best way)... now we have terminator and mistress of evil... and you know these words have no any connection with cosmic sounciousness or God. they are opposite. not realy want to say that it is bad but it is what we have and i dont know how it be if there was no those jokes. but still all things go as they go and every moment we have the best situation ever possible. its just a lesson for us all. as all in the world.

why did u start this thread at all?
and why do u have to write that u founded the name of this "genre" (which you dont understand) two times in your post?
whats your purpose?
are u after some more ego fullfilling comments for a new music genre thats growing fast?
u know. dark or full on. who cares? its labels. labels are nothing. labels come and go. what matters is energy. Energy is all.
Djs come and go to, even XP. Darkness without light cannot exist. Together they are harmony. But always changing. Nurturing each other. Labels are for the mind. THe mind need to divide, compare and create ego. Ego is power and fame which Xp know about. Dont give your mind this. Enjoy what ever you are in. Dont compare or label. Enjoy. With love. Dark or morning we all are creative people. Lovely creative people who love our music who want our music to be shared. If some DJ started this genre or not, who cares? or arranged this live act to goa or not, who cares? Ego is killing the scene. Labels on people and music helps some DJs to kill it faster. Ask yourself instead: Is the music today played psychedelic (mind expanding, rebellious, new) or the same shit played last year? We ar einto psychedlic music and for the time being, so called "full on" music is not mindexpanding or new sound. The creatice and rebellious psychedelic souls are more interested in the night music or "dark" music. Fuck labels. And Djs who pretend to own "genres". life is a joke! lets make life psyhedelic as hell and all be as creative as we can so we can enjoy a new fresh moment at every party!

more than dark and light music, its the difference between un-psychedelic and psychedelic that is so apparent at parties... why do some people play music which sounds like it belongs to a construction company, which is supposed to be "night" or "dark"... is it to be cool? to be taken seriously, that you're a man and dont like wimpy,happy music? i dont get it at all.. isnt the music supposed to make you dance even if it is in the night?
boy construction trance sucks! maybe you have to be a girl to see this.
btw i have no opinion on what xp has said about the defintion of dark, who came up withit bla bla bla

ok ....why not we all have a shot at describing what a dark track sounds like....dont name any artists track as an example but rather explain what in your own mind how a dark track should sound for it to be counsidered dark.....
an example of a dark track.....
nice heavy distorted kick (no fullon clean clicky crap) , a low running bassline, and when i say runnign i mean running, with a good pump about it.....track shoul dhave a lot of drive about....
the beat struture i rate shouldnt be tha stupid house beat that all psy tracks use,...but rather a bit more miniamalist ,less snare....and some weird percusssuion sounds....
deep scary pad textures would also make a track dark, low sounds, breathing sounds, screams....etc, imagain your writing the sound track for a horror movie...then mayb u have a dark track.....um another thing that could make a track dark is its theme....not cheesy bullshit vocals, but generally scary samples etc....a track that when you listen to it in the dark with no lights,....generally makes your hair stand on the back of your neck.....that would be dark i rate.....
but then i ask....why would neone want to listen to music like that?????
btw....goa faeire one can make dark music without it sounding like a contruction company....hehehe....i think producers of dark can make their dark music so much more darker , if they use more fluid organis natural sounds, that swell and really twist instead of the usual squelchy crap that is trance these days....
um...ok nuff 4 now

Mistress of Evil is not the "opposite" of God . It is only if you believe the lie of evil passed down from generation to generation by the church, which is really harmful in my opinion. These labels and artist make a mockery of the definition of evil as most people understand it and in a sense are able to free us from mainstream thought, which is what the word "psychedelic" is all about. |

people from the Dark "trance" should stay in the metal/goth rock scene. It got absolutely nothing to do with the trance scene at all. The goa/psy scene is about light and happy dancing NOT evil titles in tracks and dark fast scary tracks.. I dont understand why it ever got accepted into our scene in the first place? Some people haven't really understood what our scene is all about...well used to be about! |

Yes there was dark music or more accurate called "deep" music (much more to to with nature, animals and tribal).. But you did not see all the references in titles to "the darker side" as hell and devils etc. It's simply got nothing to do with our scene - or at least what it was meant to be like. It's the total opposite of what goa/psy stand for. |

First of all,as you can see,the Topic has nothing with the music,the genre and as I said,I respect anyone who make any music or any creative deeds in his life,whatever it is.
This is my positivism.
The topic is only about the term,nothing more
NOT WHY DARK MUSIC,OR DARK PARTIES,OR DARK BANDS.Nothing like that.
Just why so many people (including also people who listen other types of music) use this word DARK.
With the great respect to Lord Veider,Lucifer and Soroman.
Although,I never mentioned that Para Sense ( or me..) invented this style of music,just the word,which came out from the stoned bla bla story and,because of super polpularicy of Para Sense in underground scene all over the world,became a name of a all music style.
Before,my friends,everyone called it NIGHT music,ok?That was the name,and,for my opinion,it was more CORRECT MEANING in it.
And you can just think that it is not like that,but thats is a hystorical fact.
Also I absolutely not pretend to be the GUY WHO INVENTED THE WORD "DARK",and I will happily accept this title to anyone of you,who want to have it.
So,I ask the lovers of this DARK style,stop to rtough the poison spit inside this topic,but create a kinda a new TERM to identify your style.
Lets see the main topic name as-NEW NAME FOR MUSIC GENRE.?
