Why 90% of full on DJs only play GMS/Atomic Pulse/Astrix/Alien Project tracks?

Why do almost every full on DJ in Brazil concentrate their sets on these projects?
We are facing another problem here: listening to the same track more than 10 times during a 3 days party.
Are not there more talented people making full on music worth being played? I donīt think that this is true, so whatīs the problem? |

The problem is: 90% of the DJs are kids trading on the internet.
And kids trading on the internet like only the tracks that happen to be the 'hot commodity' of the day.
And since GMS/Astrix/Alien Project/Atomic Pulse produce music faster than just about anyone else, they always are 'hot commodity'.
When the day comes that DJs start to buy their music, we'll see that get better...

I think the problem is originality missing!
The guys that keep playing this tracks like gms, atomic, alien, etc and play only them (maybe cauz they think it will be good to the floor) are feared to try something new.. maybe because they even know sth new... they just know what they heard and, how Luiz Paulo said, what they trade..
I bet there are a lot of different full on styles, but they preffer to do what everybody does.. or what the main dj's do..
It has to be changed, no doubt about it.. i CAN'T STAND ASTRIX ANYMORE.. especially when it's played the same track 5, 9 times a day..
If the full on dj's continue with that stuff, i think ppl should include in the line ups more progressive dj's...

Those who can't stand those sounds anymore are only a few. Most of the crowd doesn't listen to psy all the time, is not up to date to every new realese. They only listen to psy every now and then, and that's absolutely normal, even people who have liked psytrance for a long long time, not just the newcomers are like that...So they don't get bored. The DJs just give the crowd what they want. What's the point of full on? I quote a DJ who came to Brazil a few months ago: "The goal is to make the people shout"  .
But the biggest reason to those sounds be played a lot, is because is fucking great music!!

Jean Louis, I disagree with u, I would not care for people that knows nothing about psy, because those people will dance anything, i care about making something so good that even the most critical will preciate it, I guess djs should thing like that too.
So, if one DJ focus on normal people, he is not going to impress the people that knows and follows trance because it takes A LOT more than just playing GMS, Astrix tracks with no sense or criativity to make a good set. Good set is not one that makes normal people dance, is one set that makes EVERYONE dance....

And about the fact that most fullon djs play only GMS, Alien Project, Astrix.......first because they are not INTO the music really, they dont follow what`s happening, they dont figure that its an old concept of fullon set, they never bought one cd and they never listen albums and comps., they only care about the latest (and shitty) unreleased that appears inside icq trading mafia.
They should check what top fullon djs do, like VOR and Mack, so criative sets. And In my true opinion, the best fullon set is not 100% fullon ya know....the best is to cross between stuff like BLT, Silicon Sounds, Synthetic, Antidote, and sure the famous ones Astrix, Atomic Pulse (That is much less fullon lately), GMS.....but thats my opinion only.. =)

Realy? Please tell me (in pvt I think itīs more polite) who are the "DJ" who realy think like that, so I wonīt make the mistake of ever going to party where those guys play!

Oki,,,,,,as a fullon player.
the thing is not to play a "overplayed" from them.
play it before every ones got it.
Tracks from Studio,Freinds,comps,eps,internet,etc.
And also,YES there are many good fullon projects out there,,,,,,,,to name a few Vibra,Mungusid,sesto sento(rules),Naxa,FullColors,and so on.
yes i play gms,alien project,nbk,absolum,..
but never after its a hit.
the thing in fullon (also other styles) is to be up to date,have good friends,good contacts,to be always up to date.if thats via icq or reciving a cd at your home.
my point of view is :that u play fullon?specialize in playing fullon,,,,,play Proggy specialize in proggy.
cause the same way of 12 hours of fullon is is very hard for the ears.
also is proggy or minimal.
we all know that to much of both sucks.
just my humble opinion on this.

I just donīt get whatīs leading many DJs to focus only on those projects. It sounds repetitive. It IS repetitive. Iīve listened to Kali more than 5 times at Psy Circus BEFORE Astrix played it. After that (and he did it twice), it was played something like 5 times. Do you understand? Man, I love Bitmonx, but Iīd love to shoot the P.A. if one of his tracks were played over and over, got it?
If you want to hear the same tracks for days, whatīs the point on booking many different DJs?
Itīs not a matter of proggy vs. full on. Itīs all about massive repetition and how bad it is. The fact is that it happens much more in the full on scene (at least here, in Brazil) than in the proggy scene. I just wanted to know why that happens |

I guess its impossible to make a 3 days party with only killer djs Mau, unless they book more international acts...thats the problem hehe

I know itīs almost impossible, but Iīm not talking about that.
What I said is that the DJs should look forward to be original, put some personality in their sound. This could be easily achieved, donīt you agree? |

i dont thing so, because I dont think any dj can becomes good..most of them will never be a good dj...its the same to say every artist should have good taste and originality...but there are millions with no talent at all hehe

the question is - book good djs not only friends and know people cause this is what is all about
imagination - variety(variedade hahaha)
hope the party organizer dont do the same as the dj s r doing |
