back to the topic, i think psytrance is far from dead, its never been this alive.
But im sure its goin to divide soon.
I think the so called commercial fullon will be the new ibiza thing, and the dark stuff will remain the way it is with good atmospheres and awsome parties.. atleast for a while |

It is not over but as all types of music does, it slowly divides itself in lots of different sub styles.
for sure thoses past years of the nineties has this special feeling of discovering; dicovering for the musicians and for the dancers, as for example could has been the electrification of guitars in the 50's 60's;the first years of Hendrix and Doors concerts has a special touch too but that did not mean there was no more good rockmusic in the 80s, 90s and so on.
in a tranceparty nowadays most of the people do not discover the style of the tance music so the effect of surprise and the vibes coming from it are more difficult to reach than what it used to be 15 years ago.
Another element is also the surrabondance of music bring with it less sensitivity from the listenners/dancers
To be honest from 92 to 96, in france, I have been to 95 % of all trance parties; at least in Paris; an the real good vibes were reached in 5 % max of those events.
this style is not over, it just never stops transforming itself as all does;
good musicians, good djs, good places, good lights, good trancers, good ... can still bring people to real fun, crazy dancing, ultimate feelings, real harmony and unify movements, thoughts, feelings, actions, peoples and love; it is just a matter of synchronicising all the people of a party in the same moment, to reach a mystical unification of hundreds or thousands of human beings; Same place, same moment, same vibes, to make exploding time and space limites to reach eternity.
the golden age of goa trance might have been 92/95 but this style of music can stil bring golden vibes.... |

Its just like everything.........its all a an evolutionary process...... THINGS JUST DONT STAY THE SAME......
the "Psy" "Goa" culture use to be an "underground" pass for everyone involved.......being part of an "exclusive" club that many other people were not privy too........and thats what a lot of people liked about it....... the "sounds" and the feeling of "exclusivity".........and that "I am different because i listen to music that most people dont listen to".......
once more people started listening to "Psy" and more $$$$$ got involved..... that feeling of "exclusivity" started to dissapate......and the styles of "psy" started to evolve and change as well.....
it is natural......when $$$ get involved.....their will be commercial elements to it.....face it......this is the world we live in......
many people dont consider "full on" or as what some would call "fool on" music or "dark" music not psy.....
what is "psy".....? who decides what "psy" is and isnt.....? if its "psychodelic" in your view......than it is "psy"......
i personally am not the biggest fan of "dark" or "full on" they are very similar.... just that one sounds more "disturbed" sounding than the other....haha.......but, i enjoy the parties and gatherings.....and many of the artists of these styles are extremely passionate in their music........and this is goood....
it is all a matter of perspective.......if your views are clouded with the negative booo shiiid thats stuck in between your eyes......then you will see things negatively.......as simple as that.....
if you view things with an eye of optimism.....then you will see things with a different and positive light....
you can either be that negative twat that attends the funeral..... or you can be that ray of sunshine that enters a party or gathering spreading "wonderful, magnificent, beautiful and great" vibes to everyone.....
i think i will be at the party.....
