Lately, and when i say lately i mean in the last couple of years (maybe 3 to 4 years), i have felt that trance lovers world wide are spred in camps, A full on camp based in South of Europa (Off course Israel is included), and a Minimal\Progressive camp based in the north of Europa (Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Findland), I know that there are full on lovers in Denmark and Sweden... but they are few, and it is the exsact opposite in the south of Europa... Now what i do not understand is why it is like this, now i would understand if it was simply a matter of taste, but it is not, many people in Denmark are almost shocked when i tell them that me and Nico (my Co host), dont have a prefered style, that we simply listen and then JUDGE, and in that order.... It reminds me of what my mother used to tell me; If you dont try it, you want know if you like it. And then many people are going to say "i know that i dont like minimal", "I know that i dont like Full on", But if you listen to track like Astrix Vs. Domestic - Massive activety, dont come and tell that person who likes trance no matter what style, can't appriciate that song the melody in it is as good as it gets... And same goes to song like Tobias & Daniel - Sun Monalisa. What i want really to say is you should be open minded and not be ignorent... because you might just be suprised ... and it is ok to have top with both Minimal, progressive and some full on tracks it is not a crime .
I know this post is long but i had to get this off my hard, thanks for listening...           "Love is a way of life"

I also have that feeling that trance people are in the middle of a progresive versus full on world.
Thankfully no casualities at all           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

i don't think you are right green man.
not all northeren people dig minimal progressive but there's finnish fullon and stuff like that. also there are alot of techn and minimal acts in israel.
i do agree with you about the so called "war" between the two camps (although i'm just like you. i love all styles of trance and even more )
i dunno why this happens but somehow people feel that their music is better and just CANT understand other genres. i used to be like that and whenever i heard stuff like Noma or The Gnome Effect i just fucking laughed. i just counld't see what how can people enjoy this "shit".

now i'm wiser

ps. the track is called Tobias and Daniel - Monalisa Overdrive           REHAB is for quitters

Gilad, i didnt say that there were no people who like full on in Findland, i said that there was few, but believe me in Denmark and Sweden, most people laugh at you if you tell them that you listen too full on, and Israel i know that there are proggi acts like lish, Contact... but still i have been in Israel and i have talked to Isaelys and from what i heard most parties Israel are Full on, and why does it have to be like that couldn't a party have both styles...

All styles have their good and bad songs...
People like to think they're right...
Don't misjudge me just because of my nickname, I love Chill Out...           .

mr green channel i totally agree with you.. we need more musical free thinkers.. but unforunately, like political free thinkers they are few and far between. people like to belong to a tribe, and then subtribes of a tribe, and if that means indiscriminately rubbishing smthing else, then thats just the price they happily pay.. you know.. people only ever read the newspaper that reinforces their own prejudices...           >>love will tear us apart...<<

You understand what i mean exactly Tom, it's people own psych. that are creating these imagenary "styles" or "tribes" or whatever, because it's human nature, But still it iretats me to see people all around saying "people who listen full on are premetive and uintelligent" or "That stupit minimal music is only going bom bom bom and no climax" now this may sound "clishe" but many people are like this, and if you go look in the top 10 section it's very few people who actully dare to put proggi. tunes together with some full on songs... For me at least there is only one trance movement that indcludes full on, progrssive, psy-tech, minimal, psy-goa and psy - trance(old)... Depending on my mood i hear the differendt tunes...
And you are offcourse right Traveller it's was just me who was fast on the tricker... you Fines have your own think going on, and off course i know that .

I love both Sesto Sento & Beat Bizzare

i dont give a damn about a trance genre as long as i like the music itself
